Day 4: here is a ramble for you

11:12
So, I am still sick. Ugh. At least my headache is gone, so I'm hoping (fingers crossed, minions) that I can crank out more stuff.
I am very proud of myself for writing over 600 words yesterday. I was starting to feel the character and maybe even the start of an actual plot. I also determined that I will need to start taking notes, making lists, and even draw a map. Cause this story is going to be REALLY REALLY REALLY messy.
That's Write This Down for you.
Which, as far as I can tell, is the novel I will be sticking with for the majority of NaNo (from what I can see at this point, don't know how that will change later).
Fili, Liam, and TheJazzPony are kicking butt and taking names. Liam is in the lead (overachiever) with a smattering 14k+ words. Fili is going level and smooth at 5k+ words so she's keeping on track, and the JazzPony is frolicking along with a lovely 2k+ words.
My other real life friend who joined NaNo (her username appears as MorgenGale) has been writing some of her novel(s) (she's doing two at a time this year), but she keeps forgetting to update her word count D: Oh well. At least she is writing ^^
Oh, and in case yall are wondering: no, I am not calm, satisfied, or happy about my sore butt being so behind on my word count, no matter what my lovely typed out words portray. Yes, I am proud that I got 600+ words out last night, but I am also pulling my hair out at the 6666 goal I need to make today.
So I shall be getting to my novel writing promptly.

A side note: as far as the NaNo dilemma of yesterday, I find that if I first edit my word count by day, then hit save, then go back to the main home page, then update the word count in the little right hand bar next to the username, it works for me. I don't know if this actually solves the problem, but it may work for other people too. *shrug*

In RP news!

AISTHESIS
Kind of slowed down again. Shame. Oh well. Things will pick back up, I know. School year is always hard.

SKYRIM
Is actually picking up. At first, Mania and I would post something for two minutes every month or so, but now Cel has joined, and Mania and I and Cel are rping there a little bit each night. So yay!

WHERE DREAMS ARE REALITY
Kind of on hold. Ish. At least for me. I keep getting in and out of my characters' heads, which makes it hard to rp. I swear at least one of them is bipolar or something. >.> Anywho, I hope I can get back in the mood again PRONTO, because I love all the drama and feels and insanity that was happening on that site.

That's all for now minions. I need to get typing my bookie wookie. So peace off!

11:38
It's weird and almost pathetic how just writing a hundred words feels like some kind of victory to me. I'm not dying here or anything. This is stupid. >.> I should be slapping myself for this. Though I suppose, if I was cranking out 1000 words every hour like I usually do, I wouldn't be sweating the small stuff.

15:00
I hit the 1116 mark sometime today. I then went off cleaning the house. My room is still a mess. Ugh. Oh well. I am now going to get working on mah sites. Yay!
I have also ben doing research on how to write a harem. Please don't ask.

16:30

SO HAPPY!
I now have the plot to my book, which will actually mean that Write This Down is a sequel to another book. Yay.
I love the "prequel/first book" very, very much, and I am actually UBER happy that I found a sequel to it. So I will be doing Write This Down, and afterwards, I will write the first book, which is called Hopelost.
Now that I have a plot, plan, and inspiration, I think I can actually start cranking out the words. :3

17:41

So, I've been watching this show called the Office (the US one btw). And for the msot part, I liked it.
But then this episode popped up that I HATED.
The manager of the company is named Andy. He leaves town for two days to go win back the love of his life. He tells the CEO he is "really sick with a flu and cannot come in". Out of the blue, this (really dumb and super irritating) woman named Nellie walks in and announces that she is taking over Andy's job.
Literally.
She is not qualified, never interviewed, everyone knows she is a mean, rude, irritating, failure of a person, but they LET HER WALK IN AND TAKE ANDY'S JOB.
Then Andy comes back, and the CEO insists that Andy respect Nellie as the new manager of the company and that he needs to resign now.
When Andy gets a chance to defend himself, he pretty much just irritates the CEO till he gets fired.
I HATE THIS! I HATE THIS SO MUCH!
When I watch stuff, I like to see how characters deal with conflict. This could have been an interesting (albiet annoying) conflict to watch get resolved. But no. The writers/directors decided that they would just shit out of their butts this idiotic plot that "oh, just because the CEO says means that Andy is fired from his job after he was replaced by someone without them telling him."
That can't actually happen in real life. Not in the way the Office did. Andy should have sued their asses. But no. He just sat there and took it.
This happened to me once. When I came back from a vacation, I found out that my bosses had given some shit head kid who mowed the lawns my job. They never told me or anything. I just showed up to work to find some fatass feeding the ponies.
But I was too shy and had my self-esteem stomped so low that I did not stand up for myself. I just took their bullshit and resigned.
WAKE UP AMERICA!
That is YOUR job! YOUR job! You OWN IT unless they fire you or you resign. They CANNOT just replace you without telling you. If they ever pull that shit on you, SUE THEIR ASSES! You have a RIGHT to work for money. You have a RIGHT to your security. You have a RIGHT to know wether or not you have a job or not. If they want to fire you or replace you, they can let you know. But thy MUST LET YOU KNOW. They cannot just replace you behind your back without even an inkling.
I should have walked right up to that fatass shithead and said, "Um, excuse me sir, but no. I'm back from vacation. I am the person who takes care of the ponies on Sundays. So get on your fucking lawnmower and mow the damn grass. Just leave my job the hell alone, bitch!"

note: I love people of all shapes and sizes, but I LOATHED that boy that day. LOATHED.

I should have gone to my boss' face and demanded an explanation. DEMANDED. But no. I didn't.
I was watching this episode hoping to see Andy stand up for himself and tell that jerk off CEO exactly who he was and who he was messing with. But no. Andy just resigned. Just like me. I wanted to see a victory. All I got was a repeat of my past.

So, sorry you had to read that rant. But it was important to me, and I wanted to get it out there. So there. My advice to you.
