NaNo Day 30: the glorious end we meet

So we have finally come this far: all the way to the glorious finish line of NaNoWriMo.

Through Struggle and Dead Eat Dead combined to get me to the finish at 58,772 words. Not the prettiest wordcount, but I am very happy. That's nearly 10,000 more than last year's count, or any years' count for that matter.

So I will bid you all goodnight since I have an early day ahead of me tomorrow. Night night minions!

NaNo Day 29: the madness continues

12:12 pm

Feeling better today, so guess what's on the agenda:

  1. Finishing Evanescent Penumbra RP forums
  2. Creating the new Aisthesis characters database
  3. Working on Mastercraft Online (maybe)
  4. Update all my roleplays
  5. and working on the new story for NaNo

Updates on the way!

20:13

Unexpected errands happened today, so not much was worked on as far as the list goes. Let's take a looksie at what has happened!

  1. Cuprumbria has some stuff made. Not much, but I finished the Knight Haven, so we can at least start playing humans more adamantly.
  2. Not happening today, mostly because I still need to tweak the organization. I have most of the planning done. Yes, for this particular database, a lot of planning is involved. So yay to planning!
  3. Just starting that now.
  4. Done!
  5. Not happening till later. I write my best between 22:00 and 0:00. So I have two hours till then.

Alright, because so many people have been asking me (not all at once, just over the course of a month or two) to bring back Let Them Bleed and Roanoke, I am combining them into one site, as well as utilizing a bunch of other concepts (of course).

Whatever could this mean?

A new site, duh.

I've been wanting to bring those back since forever, but considering that I only have so much time and focus, I thought combining was my best option.
It's working title is Citadel because there is a "citadel" that is the main focus of the roleplay. It's going to be fun. That's all I'll say so far.

Some new changes will also be coming to Aisthesis as far as making the site appear more appealing. I want to get some better graphics on there and tweak some of the information. I strongly plead with my members to help me advocate and advertise. Much thanks to all who already do.

NaNo Day 27: not feeling right

So, nothing done today in both rp and writing world.
I woke up with a terrible sore throat. Wound up laying on the couch with my kitten, drinking tea, and watching Chronicles of Narnia (that new one with Liam Neeson as Aslan). Had to make pumpkin pies. Yum. Then I went to a party at my friend's house and we played Improv which was the best part of the night ever! I made my friend kiss a frog. I buried my 'grandma' alive (played by my bro), I was a malfunctioning robot in a wedding dress shop, and lots of other things. We all had so much fun.

Just wanted to say; The Chronicles of Narnia. Such a good movie! I was bawling quite a bit. For some reason I'm always crying during films when I'm sick or tired. But this... this was ridiculous. I lost count of how many times I cried: when ever a character cried, a character died, a character said goodbye, a character got hurt, a character had something marvelous happen to them, a character smiled, characters hugged, characters looked remotely sad, something beautiful came on screen, the coronation, the very VERY ending where the Prof tosses them the ball and the pretty music plays, and of course at the end where Lucy opens the wardrobe again and asks if they can go back. Ahhh.. nostalgia.
I run around talking about how I love Battle Royale and Higurashi and Baccano!. Though they are fantastic shows, it's really the simple movies like Chronicles of Narnia or Secret of Nihm that stick with me the most. And I think it's more than just that I've seen them dozens of times, I think it's the pure and innocent magic in them that make me feel like a little kid again. :3
On facebook and stuff on memes they have those "When I was eleven I was sad cause I didn't get my acceptance letter to Hogwarts", but for me, it was always "When I opened the closet, I didn't find Narnia" D:
But I always check, just in case.

Once a King or Queen of Narnia, always a King or Queen, my minions.

NaNo Day 26: sick of it all

I just got something to say. It's not me, it's you. You're always in my head, always on my mind, and it's gotten pretty annoying. We came really, really far over the course of just sixteen days, and you know what, it's time we all took a step back and just gave each other room to breathe. You are really, really clingy and needy and greedy, and you're going in different directions that I can't quite follow. I'm really not sure where anything is going with this, so I figured I would make it clear where we stand.
So, this is see you later, Through Struggle. Not goodbye! I swear I'll start work on you soon.
~Niitari

The next four (or three) days, I will be working on something else. No, not the Missile List, no not With Light or Contained or Mer or anything. I'll be working on the novel I've been doing for the past two NaNo camps and past NaNo year.
Death Eaters.
Not really, not officially. What it really is, is a remake of the story based on the original version I had in my head but could never get on paper, along with a few other concepts that pooped into my head during a ride in the car. It will appear on wattpad in the Paranormal and Thriller genre as Dead Eat Dead.

So yah, I'm being a bit of a rebel, I guess, working on two novels in one NaNo. Whoot! Rather excited.

And as I said in the top, I am NOT abandoning Through Struggle. I'm just facing some plot blocks (not writer's block thankfully) and I need to carefully think some issues through before I keep plunking away at my keyboard. I've already driven off track with my random typing sessions and I want to keep what I wrote, so I need to rework my initial ideas. Almost have them all worked out too, but it won't be resolved in time, so I'm going to break out another project before NaNo is over so I can get some words in.

See ya minions!

NaNo Day 25: jumper cable lips

I been sleepin for 40 days and
I know Im sleeping cause this dream’s too amazin'
She got gold doorknobs where her eyes used to be
One turn and I learned what it really means to see

Ah, It’s the magical mystery kind
Ah, must be a lie
Bye bye to the too-good-to-be-true kind of love
Oh, I could die
Oh, now I can die

I've been sleepin for 60 days and
Nobody better pinch me
B***h I swear I’ll go crazy
She got jumper cable lips
She got sunset on her breath now
I inhaled just a little bit
Now I got no fear of death now

Ah, It’s the magical mystery kind
Ah, must be a lie
Bye bye to the too good to be true kind of love
Oh, I could die
Oh, now I can die

SHE GOT JUMPER CABLE LIPS
SHE GOT SUNSET ON HER BREATH NOW
I INHALED JUST A LITTLE BIT
NOW I GOT NO FEAR OF DEATH NOW

Those four lines were graffitied on the side of our lighthouse and they have been haunting me ever since. I finally googled the words a few weeks ago and came across the song. Though I think the song sounds awful and the rest of the lyrics are 'meh', it's those four lines that I always return to.
Back in the day when I took that photo, it was during that time in my life when things were way out of balance for me. I was hanging onto my life by a rapidly fraying thread. My world had crumbled, my family had fallen apart, my friends were dead to me, and everyone around me (including my parents) looked at me for the answers. So I turned to the one thing that could get me out of my house, away from my life, and return me to something of sanity: photography.
Most people think Wisconsin is flatlands and cows, but you would be impressed at how beautiful it really is. Through my photography, I was taken to places I never really bothered exploring or looking at, and through it all, I learned of the beauty my city had to offer. My favorite of locations quickly became the gorgeous Lake Michigan.
The lighthouse in particular became a focus for me. I absolutley adore lighthouses. Perhaps because at the time, I was a lighthouse myself.
The lighthouse warns boats. It keeps them from dashing to pieces on the rocks and guides them safely to harbor. But this lighthouse is empty, unmanned, and just flashes its lights on a timed device.
So was I, a lighthouse. Alone, a shell, empty and hollow inside, guiding others here and there without ever getting the help that I myself needed. It's been three years. Still, no help has come.
But the words on the lighthouse... Imagine standing out there on the platform, nothing around you but cold, dark waves, the roar of the waters, and the rocks below. But you see those words, and suddenly, you aren't afraid anymore.
I wanted to be that girl, that girl who could electrify, whose very breath or words or spirit could make fearless souls out of everybody.
I think that was where I decided I wasn't going to be this scared little kid always running from her problems. I was still the lonely lighthouse, but now I was going to weather the storms and do my duty with every piece of me still standing. Just as those words are graffitied on the side, so they are tattooed in my heart.
I have no fear of death now.
No fear of anything at all.

NaNo Day 24: new secrets

So, I really don't know why I keep talking about NaNo. I haven't been writing anymore. I plan on doing so, but frankly, I don't think it's gonna happen. I've been far too busy.

Enough about that. Mastercraft Online is coming along pretty well. It's a slow process, but there's a lot of planning and design involved in this puppy. Still working on making a map. I've tried multiple online tools, but I think I'm going straight for traditional. If so, it will probably wind up as a watercolor which I will scan and put up on the site. Capiche?

So, I am officially in the business of making characters for New Secrete Academy! Whoot! Remi Lemarque is done. Two new elves: Valentine D'Artagnan and Milou D'Artagnan. I decided to finally use my favorite class of all time: assassins. However, I made these guys Hashashins! Whoot! Don't know what they are? Google them. They are awesome. Been studying bits and pieces about them for several years. Next to ninjas and samurai, they are my favorite type of warrior. I also made Sparrow Norioba, originally Wren Tock from HOTD, but I changed the name because Filigree already has a character on NSA called Wren. Tis alright, he will remain as Wren Tock on HOTD. Sparrow is also from Egypt. I think I made him older than Wren though. He is a Light-Fire Elemental!

Started rping on Camp Half-Blood again. Ugh.

And I joined Forgotten Souls Ever More which is also owned and run by Tia of Mercury Boarding School. So I made humans. I like humans. They are fun. Lucky and Eulalia. No shifters or doctors for me. Just humans. They are fun. I like humans.

Well, it's a short post with not much exciting information, but that's just life. See ya later, minions.

NaNo Day 23: hate the hunger games

I hate the Hunger Games.

I mean I really, REALLY hate the Hunger Games.

Now I'm reading Catching Fire and I have to resist the urge to rip my eyeballs out of my head. I mean, holy smokes, am I the only one to notice the sheer magnitude of those info dumps? I feel like a dump truck landed on my face and then said, "Here! Take this!" as it unloads its information on me.

And that's only Chapter One and Two.

All my friends who have read it told me the last two books suck. Why am I reading this then? Just... why?

It's those darn fanfiction ideas, I tell yah. Also the movie, but mostly the fanfictions. I want to write a Hunger Games fanfiction with as much passion as my hatred for the series. Can I do it? Can I pull it off? I don't know.

So we shall see what I have lined up. After NaNo, I'm going to be going through my novel and rewrite a bit. Because of NaNo, I have a lot of awkward scene transitions, some useless dialogue, and a lot more tell than show, which really ticks me off (another reason I hate HG. Waaaaay too much telling). I will also be playing around with The MISSILE List. I went around and re-found my inspirations for it, so I'm a little psyched.

Also, probably will work on The Contained, With Light, and a new fantasy story idea in my head.

I mentioned in earlier posts about some story ideas I was excited for, such as Infinite Sorrow, Asashinkurido, and a couple others. Those are NOT being discarded. They are simply on hold. Infinite Sorrow still has a lot of world building to be worked out. I have lost my notes on Asashinkurido, so I am trying to reconstruct the idea from scratch ( D: ). And the others, well, they just started out as one-liner descriptions in my head and need a lot of work.

Some other things to look for on Wattpad in the near future: Asithesis one-shots and Assassin's Creed short stories! Whoot whoot! I have three Aisthesis one-shots coming out, including Can I Be Strong? and Ciel's Story (still needs a title). There is a LOT of planning going on behind my AC stories, so they will be coming out slower.

Aisthesis. I'm thinking of making a book. I have no clue what the book will be about. Maybe it will just be one-shot stories centered around the world of Aisthesis. Kind of like the book of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, where it's just a bunch of legends, all connected, shoved together in one collection. Does that sound interesting, or should I make a set plot and set characters and write that? Thoughts?

ANOTHER thing to look for on wattpad: my collection of old works. These are old works I will either be bringing back in the future (some of the concepts were neat even if my writing sucked) or just tidbits of things I loved a lot when I was younger. It's nothing really special. I think I have two books lined up and a bunch of unfinished stories.

YET ANOTHER thing I am probably putting on wattpad (tentative) is a collection of my finished short stories. I have a few. One is on Midnightering. One is on another blog of mine, and on that same blog is also a portion of a short story I wrote. This collection will probably be posted up before November is even out.

That's all my wattpad news...

ROLEPLAY NEWS! None really. RP is at the dullest of dull crawls, but the end of NaNo and semester exams/midterms should bring everyone back up to speed. Mastercraft Online should be up and running a bit in December along with HOTD. Still waiting on scrippies from Kiba, Mania, and Flamer for Angry Street Foes.

MUSIC! Ahh, can't forget the language of the soul. Tis very important. Here are some AWESOME pieces of music to listen to!

God Particle - Hans Zimmer
The Brotherhood Escapes - Jesper Kyd
Hitman 2 Main Title - Jesper Kyd
Beowulf Main Title - Alan Silvestri
The Cloud Atlas Sextet for Orchestra
Meadows of Heaven (instrumental) - Nightwish

I could go on forever, but I will leave you with that sort little list. Yes, tis all instrumentals and epic choirs, but it is all very, very beautiful and inspiring, at least in my opinion.

Fare thee well, my minions!

NaNo Day 22: and here... we... go...

Good evening minions and welcome back to the blog. As for today I have a bit of news, not really good or bad news, just news. Take it as you please.

For the NaNo novel I have not been able to do my 5K a day. I did about 3K yesterday, but otherwise, I'm at least 10K behind already, and there is no conceivable way to make up for that considering my terrible schedule.

I hit 50K in 16 days. That's more than I bargained for. At least now I know that next NaNo I can definitley hit 100K in 30 days. It is not happening this year, and actually, I'm pretty cool with that.

I hate how I'm always lowering my word count goal at the final NaNo stretch. I did it for camps, and now I'm doing it for the actual NaNo. But school and life are stressing me out, now more than ever since the big final exam for EMT is coming up in a few short weeks.

So that's my news as far as NaNo for today. Let's hope the next NaNo isn't such a downer.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm still writing and pushing my word count as far as I can go this time around, but I decided, to take my own stress off, that I wouldn't push myself so far in these next few days because of my other stresses. So the big question now is "where will I hit by the end of NaNo?" Hopefully around 80K. I think it's a more reasonable guess. We will just wait and see.

Roleplay updates will be posted soon. Stay tuned!

Peace out, minions!

NaNo Day 21: falling out of focus

22:57 p.m

Ahh, the plot bunnies are at it again, fiendish fiends that they are. Only nine days left of NaNo and I am struggling. Ugh! I mean really, it's the final stretch here! Backing down now just won't do it for me. I am too determined! Just gotta get up and sally forth!

So what is it now, you might vaguely be wondering. Well, I have the case of Aisthesis. I have all these plot bunnies swimming in my head of one shots and short stories about them. Plus I want to finish Ciel Norcross' story and all. Yah.

At least NaNo is over in nine days. I can finish the word goal, and the plot bunnies will still be fresh in my head by then. I am definitley taking a break after NaNo from Through Struggle. So far, it has been an awesome, thrilling, bumpy ride, but it has pooped me out.

I have 7k to write before bed so I better hop to it. I shall write an update later. Adieu!

23:44

Wrote 876 words D: Only 6124 to go before I make today's count...

NaNo Day 20: it better not go bad

23:11

Got almost 2000 words written D: Not very good for day one of my 5K-for-ten-days goal! I will stay up late to hit it (or even beyond it).

23:58

Got 3059 done today! I am now at 54000+ words! Whoot! Just gotta write an extra 2k tomorrow and I will be back on track.

Sorry that today's blog post is so short. I have nothing to say really. Um... I've been napping... and cleaning bathrooms... and playing some Sims 2. Yah... good stuff.

Well, goodnight minions. See you in the morning.

NaNo Day 19: the plan for fifty

So today I have done next to nothing when it comes to writing. Most of my focus was school this morning and then roleplay sites this evening. I also took a three hour nap this afternoon and cleaned some of the house, which sucked up quite a bit of my time. I didn't really have a chance to sit down at my laptop till about seven o' clock. So here I am at 11:58 p.m. watching the seconds tick by and my word count inch along.

Now for the roleplay sites, I haven't been rping much or editing them this evening per se. I am endeavoring to make a big move that I think will benefit all my rps in general. I have been having a hard time organizing and categorizing characters on roleplay sites, so I am now going to have all characters on a blog, much like this one. That way they can be organized by the little labels (or tags), and people can utilize the search bar to find exactly who they're looking for. I really don't know why I haven't used this system sooner, but I'm glad I am now.

The big time consumer today was transferring all the characters from the Hunger Games site onto the blog one. It's taking a total of three days now, and I'm still nowhere near done. So this teaches me a lesson that deciding to do this when more than 100 characters gross your site is not the best plan. But once it's finished, I know I'll be much happier, an adding characters from then on will be a breeze.

So expect that sort of change to happen to Aisthesis, Evanescent Penumbra, and all my future sites. Mastercraft Online, Prelude to Merde, and HOTD are having their character blogs underway. Angry Street Foes probably won't get one simply because of the limited character count and the efficiency webs.com provides for that sort of site. Otherwise, all sites will get a blog one if they last longer than six months (or if I start them off with more than 20 characters which it seems I have been doing a lot lately).

As for the title of the post here "the plan for fifty", it has to do with my NaNo novel. From this day (right now it is 12:04 a.m on the 20th) I will write 5000 words a day for the next 10 days of NaNo so that I can finish the NaNo year off with 100K. Such is my goal. Will I meet this goal? We shall see. Hopefully I'll get higher than 101K, but I don't want to push myself too hard. School is almost over and that means National Registry Exams and Final Exams and on to the next challenge.

It also means more rping, since I won't have NaNo and exam stresses. I will still be in school, and I will actually be in five classes over the next semester, but I will have less stress for the next months most likely, so I can get on more. NaNo shall release my soul!

I also have great news for everybody! For those who are actually interested in such things, I am making a film with my friend (TheJazzPony, aka Flynn Thatcher on my Hunger Games website) and a large group of other people. It is a word-for-word, by-the-book Movie Adaptation of The Hunger Games. I am directing with TheJazzPony as screenwriter and also playing the titular role, Katniss Everdeen. I will post here when we are releasing the movie, but if you want to stalk our randomness, go onto Facebook and check out Platypus Enterprises. We post photos and little blurbs there on occasion of our random adventures. We will also be getting a website up.

So that is all for now minions! Peace out!

NaNo Day 18: moving right along

Typing up more words today. Fun, fun, fun. I'm probably not going to crank out a thousand tonight since I'm too tired, but I've already gotten a few hundred down.

So, for roleplay, well, I have been slacking. Especially on Vigilante ( D: ) . NaNo has eaten my soul. Even Evanescent Penumbra is getting the brunt of my soulless self. This is not to say I am leaving anything or anything is shutting down, but I just want you guys not to be terrified of such things happening. I'm just gonna be very flighty from site to site as November progresses.

I am working on a new RP (surprise!). Chibi Quest Online has taken the back burner to make way for Mastercraft Online, which will be even more extensive and thorough than Chibi Quest could ever hope to be. It encompasses all fantasy types, and it takes on a more serious tone than CQO's cute and fluffy banter. Chibi Quest Online will still happen (I can't resist the Candyland forums I set up) but production will be on hold. I still have to finish writing up the quests anyway, so it's a good thing.

Another RP possibly coming out is Prelude to Merde! Which is a combination of an old site of mine, a dream I had, and some new concepts to play around with in an rp world (such as zero gravity and switching gravity). One of the big inspirations for the world were these fractal art pieces I stumbled across on DeviantArt. Beautiful stuff that. So most of the roleplay environment will be in fractal designs. I'm both excited and nervous.

Midnightering has taken a change. I think I should give up on the writing contest site for the next few years. It is now going to host short stories, poetry, one~shots, and other random scribblings that come to my mind. Currently, one story is up already Dancing on the Berlin Wall. Can I Be Strong? will also go up, along with a new one~shot in the works called Come Little Children. Expect lots of Aisthesis stories to go up there as well as Assassin's Creed fanficiton shorts.

I have some other ideas for roleplays that are bouncing around in my head. A lot of them have to do with Battle Royale.

Finally, because of difficulties I'm having with the forums rps, I am turning my favorite and longest standing forums rp into an actual rp site called This Is War. It's a science fiction site about two planets at war with each other, and their battlefield is Earth. It's a bit of a random, free-for-all site, a tribute to the old days of roleplay, but I think it will be a lot of fun now that it will have more structure to it instead of such limiting rp space.

So that's all I have for now, minions. Peace out and enjoy your night.

NaNo Day 17: a breakthrough and a break

I hit 50K yesterday! Yay!
I didn't write a blog post because I was too tired and rather stressed. But, at least I hit the 50K mark. I'm very happeh about that.
I'm not stopping, I'm still going. Tonight though, I am taking a break from my novel to just chillx. I don't know if I will write some words tomorrow or not either. :\ Mostly cause the weekend has been stressful and I just wanna take some naps and hug my kitten and eat pocky. Catch up on some shows. Read a book. Roleplay a bit. Work on my sites. Yah...
So I wrote 50,000 words in 16 days. I am very proud of myself. And I'm not saying this to rub it in your face or get up on my pedestal. I set a goal for myself and I made it, so I'm happy and I want to celebrate it. My family could really care less about my writing, so I've got nobody else to cheer me on really except you guys. You guys are awesome! ^^
You know what else is awesome? The Oriental store. I can't believe I don't go there more often. Just got some chopsticks and aloe vera leche juice and mango chile pops and some pocky! I love oriental food. Yum yum! ^^
Well, anyway, I am wrapping this post up now.

What are your guys' word count goals? What about camp's or next year's goals? It's never too late to crank out more words you know.

Peace out minions!

NaNo Day 15: the scary endeavor

So, in this writing session, I begin a scary endeavor: the jump from Part One to Part Two.
Part One is not nearly up to par with my expectations. I will definitely have to go back and write in a few more scenes and lengthen some other ones. But as far as it goes right now, with nothing holding me back, and the daunting stupidity of writing dangerously unleashed, I sally forth into the unknown, brazenly hacking my way into Part Two.
At 48,000 words and counting:

NaNo Day 14: kittens, words, and houses

20:15 p.m

So excited! After fifteen years of living in this dump, my family might be moving! I really hope we do. We've only been talking about it as long as I can remember!
Plus, if we get a house, I can get more pets. Yay! Then owning my kitten won't be 'technically illegal'.

So, as far as kittens go, the cats at the farm where Dovahkiin came from just had more kittens! I will be visiting them this weekend, so I will post lots of pictures! They sound soooooo cute~!

Hopefully I'll get one too! Fingers crossed everyone!

On to words. So lately I've been doing some heavy typing. Last night, I hit 41000. I wrote 500 on the shuttle ride home from school. I hope to crank out 4500 by midnight tonight. We'll see how I late I stay up then. I will definitely let you guys get updates on word count.
I have to post more of it on wattpad. Y'all better remind me! ^^

I also watched Battle Royale again, this time with my brother. Even he said it was better than Hunger Games.

Soon, a die-hard Hunger Games fan will watch it. Then we'll see what she says.

In case you all are wondering, I am NOT a Hunger Games fan. You could probably tell already, but I just thought I'd make it clear. Yes, I'm excited with making a movie out of the book, but I did not enjoy the book really, and I hated the movie. The only thing I did like was the lottery based picking of contestants and then the gladiatorial combat.

I'm thinking of making a Battle Royal-esque inspired rp. Probably won't happen for a while, but we'll see.

23:59 p.m.

47,536 words tonight. I go to bed a happy wittle llama.

Night night and fare thee well, minions!

NaNo Day 13: fearing the worst

I am really worried I won't be able to write anything today. I have to go to school, then I walk straight to work, then I come home and study my butt off for our Exam tomorrow.
If I'm lucky, I'll get words typed while I'm on the shuttle. We'll see. :\

note: shuttle is the fancy word we use for the bus that drives us to and from the college

Some updates are coming to Evanescent Penumbra and Aisthesis, probably to all my sites. Just a little heads up. :3

If I could get my members to help me advertise for EP and A, that would be epic. We already got some new people that way, and we need more. We also need to get certain members back to Aisthesis: Paradox, Suna, Sen, and I haven't seen Midnight or ExParasite in a while.

(later)

So Midnight checked in. We have kiddos for Ravenscrofts, and the Nightingales will most likely have kiddos too.

Lots of fun stuff happening! Both in the rp world and in my book.

Here is a fun fact for NaNo guys:

When in doubt, have your character brush their teeth. It will do wondrous things.

See ya later minions!

NaNo Day 12: new life

Alright, so for NaNo today, I got a little over 2000 words done so far. Very excited for the interesting turn of events the book is taking.
For some reason, I haven't been writing any decent sized battle scenes. D: I LOVE battle scenes!!!!
Ahh, well. Perhaps next battle I'll have better luck.

AISTHESIS
Whoot! Aisthesis is back and badder than ever! We're kicking it into full gear with new characters, and I've got some plots up my sleeve just waiting to blow y'all away.
Dawny and I are discussing the little Ravenscrofts. Aww :3 They apparently have twinsies. It's gonna be awesome!
Nightingales, St. Cerveauxs, Hawthornes, and I think the Engelkönigs have godmothers now too. That's quite a few families out of the way. Constantine, Valentine and Pendragon are left.
Speaking of Pendragon, I think they might need a new godfather... I have had no word from Suna if she's coming back or not. I'll keep trying, but stay tuned.
Valentine NEEDS a godfather. If anyone wants this position, it's yours. The only requirements are that you had an older brother named Michael who was schizo and committed suicide. o.o

12:00 a.m

It is midnight everybody, or as the robotic voice in my computer says, "It's Zero Hours."
I got 5014 words written today, finishing at exactly 11:59! So happy!
I've been wanting to do 5000 a day for a while and I finally hit it. I wrote three thousand words in two and a half hours.
Music really helps my writing. o.o

NaNo Day 11: chaos inside my nebula

So yesterday, we got some new cast members for our movie! Woot! So excited for Sunday when we film an awesome scene! No spoilers just yet xD

*cough cough* that mens there will be spoilers! yes, spoilers, minions! *cough cough*

We also got more members on EP and A! Welcome to oblivion on Aisthesis and Tavi and (hopefully) Maru on Evanescent Penumbra!

Moving on!
Today I have written 3144 words in 2 hours and 43 minutes. I am very proud.
I finally have a long action scene. Well, somewhat long. It's hard to write Merce currently since he is an ordinary person fighting a bunch of necromancers. I mean really, what's he gonna do?
It was quite the intense scene. I let myself wander into gross details and strange exchanges and warped stuff. It will appear as EX17 on wattpad for those of you who read it on wattpad.

LINK TO BOOKIE WOOKIE HERE!

Current word count: 30,213. Day 11.

More info tomorrow. I be tired at 2 am.

NaNo Day 10: nothing begets more nothing begets late nights and snoring dogs

Nothing done yesterday. A handful of words, some hastily gathered supplies for the movie my friend and I are making, and lots of talking and procrastination.
She's being a rebel. TheJazzPony. Doing a script this year, mostly because of our movie.

Anyway, Aisthesis Episode 3 and Evanescent Penumbra opened yesterday! Sweet!
A new member joined The Half Breed's War.

Chibi Quest Online and Highschool of the Dead continue on schedule.

So, for today, I am determined to hit 26,000 words before I go to sleep. (it's 2:20 a.m. right now)

So now it's 3:06 a.m. and I have 1699 words done. I'm at 26206 words total. Time to sleep. Hope all this snoring (TheJazzPony and her pooch) won't keep me up longer >.<

ON ANOTHER NOTE!

TheJazzPony talks a lot in her sleep. Like wow. This is the second night this has happened. I almost wanna sleep over EVERY night and stay up late to see what comes out of her mouth next o.o

So last night, she woke up in the middle of the night (I was still awake btw), she sat up, and literally screamed "What the heck are you doing?!"
And she was faaaaast asleep.

Now, just a few minutes ago, she very loudly said, "I'm not!"
I told her it was okay and she didn't have to be whatever it is she isn't, but again, she is asleep.
*sigh*

Good night for realsies!

In short, I have yet to write anything today and it is 11:39 pm.  >. >

Well, now it's 11:59 and I've reached the- nvm, it's 12:00 am. I have finished the day with 1303 words. Between now and the time I started this post, I wrote a smattering 400+ words. I forgot I had 99 already written today (at 1 or 2 in the morning) o.o

So, ta-ta minions. And may the muses guide you well.

NaNo Day 7: oh, it's just a likkle bunny rabbit...

Everything's going fine in the real world. Some daily stresses, a few undone chores, some goals, a vet appointment, a school meeting: but otherwise pretty uneventful.
I saw Cloud Atlas. Awesome movie. The nudity sucks, but at least it's surprisingly brief for a relatively romantic film.
I'm reading a book called The Cloud Atlas, which is not like the movie at all, haha. It's about the Japanese war balloon crisis in 1945. A pretty okay book. It's starting to get interesting. I only started reading it a while ago.

In the roleplay world, I already mentioned the debuting of multiple sites happening with in the next few weeks. It's all going smooth and silky.

But then there's writing.

D:

So, it's day 7 and everything's going great, then suddenly...

A plot bunny popped up.

It wiggled its button nose, flicked its ears, wagged its tail.
It was cute, but could be ignored.
Then another one appeared.
Then another.
THEN another.
And... wait for it...

ANOTHER ONE!

Darn things have started breeding again. Granted, they aren't enough to get in the way of Through Struggle, but they're becoming more and more demanding. I find my thoughts drifting to these little bunnies more often than I should.
I want to blame movies on this.
You see, I'm the sort of person who watches a movie (this rarely happens with books) and I think, "I could have made this better."
And then the movie plots I liked and the concepts I enjoy playing with and my ideas of how to make it better build up on each other.
It all started with Ender's Game. I have loved the concept of child soldiers ever since... well, I cannot remember. But it's been there for years and years.
When I saw Ender's Game, it reawakened the intrigue for that concept. I let it churn in my head.
On the same day, in the previews, I had seen a trailer for this movie called Delivery Man. Now don't freak out at the word I'm about to use. In it, a man donated sperm to a sperm bank, and after a mix up at the bank, he wound up with 500 kids.
So the concept of someone having 500 kids churned in my head. I myself am a big fan of having huge families, either through natural process or adoption or both. (One family I know adopted 14 kids.)
Then I was online this week going over my site the Hunger Games.
And as I lay awake in bed going over story ideas, I thought about having to read book 2 and 3 of the HG series. I thought about what my friend told me is going to happen, the characters I'll meet, and then I thought of a fanfiction concerning Finnick Odair.
I am in love with District 4, mostly because I love water. So Finnick Odair, ever since I first heard of him, struck me as an awesome guy.
So while I was thinking of Hunger Games, my sporadic brain slammed me with Ender's Game and that Delivery Man trailer and suddenly: intense idea!
The idea was this (will be taken down from here because I am paranoid of plagiarism):

Before the games portion of the Hunger Games begin, during the stylist stage, a sample of their, well, heh, reproductive stuff  > . > is taken from each tribute. When the victor has been decided, all other samples are destroyed.
Instead of following the tributes in the Games, the beginning of the story follows the journey of the sample of Katniss Everdeen. It sits in a cryo chamber awaiting its fate. As she is announced the victor of the Hunger Games along with Peeta Mellark, the rest of the samples are destroyed.
Only the stuff of victors is worth anything anyway.
More samples are taken from Katniss and Peeta. Many, many more during their surgeries at the Capital.
Then these lucky samples are shipped to the island of Hawaii.
Inside a genetic laboratory, these samples are fused with samples from other victors. They are altered and rearranged and transformed. Eventually, the samples are stimulated to come together and create an actual being.
Grown inside special, amniotic chambers, the fetuses develop into babies, and from there, they begin a structured developmental cycle as they are trained to be soldiers.
Children soldiers.
The main character of this story is one of three hundred, all siblings, all genetically engineered children of Katniss Everdeen and Finnick Odair.
And from there, I have a million and one plot holes and an equal number of plots. Who do they fight? Where? How does Katniss' rebellion affect them? Do they ever rebel themselves? Etc.
It might become an actual book someday, minus the Hunger Games portion, but for now it is the only fanfiction I will ever be writing. I think. If I ever do.

So yah, what about you guys? What do movie trailers or books or music or movies inspire you to write? What brilliant ideas come to mind? How many do you throw together, and how does it all come together in the end?

NaNo Day 6: how fitting is the rain

12:23 a.m.

Gonna try and write something before I go to beddy bye!

12:37 a.m.

I am too tired. Forget it. Going to bed now. >.> Will write in the morning.

5:33 p.m.

Got nothing done except 300+ words, but it's not worth mentioning.
I have a lot going on, more or less in terms of my friends and I creating a film together, and we're very pressed for time, seeing as the weather in Wisconsin is unbearably unpredictable.
Well, I've been stressed.
Anywho, Aisthesis will be officially opening by the end of this week. (Saturday to be exact). Also, Evanescent Penumbra will be opening as well (officially). I was having trouble with webs which is why it's been taking me so long to get stuff done. >.<
Two new sites also popping up! We have Highschool of the Dead and Chibi Quest Online! More info on both later. HOTD is almost complete. Just have to finish forums.
Both of those will be officially coming out next week! Yay!

NaNo Day 5: revisiting the goal

6:37 a.m.

So, I didn't get an update yesterday and I apologize. I hit 11,000+ words.
"Well that seems like a lot!" you say.
It is. It was getting very frustrating having to subtract 3567 from my total all the time.
So what I will do is just write my book and put the total up.
Then at the VERY last day, when I update the final word count, I will subtract 3567 from the total.
Makes my life easier.

Okay, anyway. I actually hit more like 13,000+ last night. I also watched Terra Nova and fooled around on the internet.

Today, I am going off to a major exam D: Let's hope I pass.

3:38 p.m.

So, the reason for the nifty title is that I want to change my word count goal for this year. i think I'm going to bring it down to 150k instead of 300k. Takes some pressure off of me but it will still get me past 50k.
Will 150k be enough to finish the book? No.
I planned on 300k not just cause I like being ridiculous, but because I planned out each part of my book to be at least 50k words per part.

So anyway, I passed my exam. None of my nano has been written today. Still have 9 hours to work on something.

12:06 a.m (next day)

Just wanted to let you know, I managed to crank out 2411 words in just a couple hours. I was very happy to hit my 15K goal before midnight! Woot!
Things are really stirring up in the books. Some new plots are presenting themselves. New characters are introduced (and I finally gave them names). The most interesting thing I've found in this session is the character development of Holly Gallowbae.
It makes sense that she would evolve because she is an important character, but the more I write her, the more she takes over and writes herself for me. She's trying to tell me something, and it is absolutley beautiful what she does.

Not to try and give away any spoilers (I doubt I can at this point) but I just wanted to talk a little bit about her before I forget the words in my head right now.

Holly comes across as a cute little thirteen year old. When we first meet her, she is wearing a hodgepodge of clothes, and is described as having these big, innocent blue eyes. She wears bells in her hair and flip flops. Sometimes she goes barefoot. In later scenes, we are introduced to a very grand seating room, with the pristine chairs covered in rainbow blankets and cushy cushions.
But then we see how ruthless and smart she is. She's like an adult trapped in a 13 year old's body. Honestly, I find that that is where my issues with writing her arise. Thankfully she ends up writing herself or I would fail.
(she scares FlyOn by the way xD)
But then we see how obsessed she is with Merce. That was not really my intention. My intention was to have this super smart, cute and little character who had a powerful weapon in her hands, and though she knows how to wield it, she doesn't really care about it. Well that changed. She orders him around. She keeps him to herself.
When I found out she was obsessed, I wondered why. I couldn't really wrap my mind around where this idea of a 13 year old being obsessed with a 17 year old came from. I mean, granted, he's her weapon, but is it power she is obsessed with?
Yes, but then I came to understand that power wasn't why she was obsessed with HIM.
It was paranoia.
During this writing session, Holly spits out this to Merce:

Holly looked into Merce’s eyes. “They are all our enemies. There is no such thing as a friend, not where we are concerned.”
“Necromancers.”
“Yes,” Holly pulled a blanket down around her shoulders, disappearing into purple fleece with golden stars, except for her head. “We are a despicable kind of thing, Merce. We are all that is dead and all that dies. We cannot have any real love or any trust, because in the end, we are all going to turn on each other.”
I love you.
Merce.
“And what of us, my lady?”
Holly smiled, her eyes looking straight through him to some distant place he could not see. “We are different, you and I. You are the only one I can trust. I am the only one you can hope to love.”

It just came out of nowhere, and I found myself scrambling to type it all down before I lost it.
And that is where I learned the truth of Holly Gallowbae.
Yes, she is drunk on power. She weilds her weapons and knows how to. But now I see she is paranoid. I mean, she had to struggle to get to the top didn't she?
Oh my god!
This book is called Through Struggle!
Struggle!
AAAAHHHH!
Sorry, a mind blowing moment D:
Ok, I will stop here for now. I need to go write more of my book.
Peace Out Minions!

NaNo Day 3: the art of the dance

Ah, how I love my NaNo hat.
Dovahkiin is officially my Word Count kitten! She is cute and sleeps in my lap. For some reason, she wakes up when I go on facebook and youtube, abandoning my novel. What a nice kitten :3

So, I have hit 9561 words (though on NaNo it is 5994 because I started the book already and it was at 3567 words, so I have to subtract that to find my NaNo number).

Ahh! Dovah woke up! I better get back to writing my novel D:

11:57 p.m.

So, I am done with this session. I wrote 4627, bringing me to a smashing 8186 words total. i did not hit 10k, but I'll definitely hit (and maybe pass) that number tomorrow! Woot!

I finished the morbid stuff and am moving on to a bit of explanation and mystery engaging. We just learned that Holly is a necromancer. Sweet stuff gonna happen!

P.S.
The NaNo hats work o.o
Go watch the NaNo video about writing tips. It was the first/second one or soemthing. The first dude on there who talked about hats and fluffy creatures. It really works!

OH! And my NaNo is on Wattpad! Not all of it. Yet. But at least 10k words of it. So go read!

Goodnight, Minions!

NaNo Day 2: a morbid night to all

I meant to make a Day One post, I really did. But I didn't. So there. Here is Day Two.

I was struggling on doing Through Struggle or The MISSILE List. I'm definitely doing Through Struggle. Just, gonna go with that one. Yah.

9:36 p.m.

I am very, VERY behind, but I am catching up. I have 3 hours till midnight and several thousand to go. I'm doing alright so far.
I was going to do my next scene with Merce learning some stuff, and in turn, we learn about the necromancers :D. Well...
Well, I did a super short paragraph/scene where Merce and Holly are eating dinner. Holly mentions someone important coming over and teaching him something necessary for their survival.
My intention was to make a super tough, creepy, evil dude teach him how to, ya know, survive and fight and stuff.
It became WORSE.

_______

The something was tall, very tall. It stood over Merce on legs that were several yards long. It had four of them. It had a hunched back. A masked face. Its red clothes were shredded, and tangled in the shreds were strips of flesh, rotted bones, and gruesomely displayed organs and tissues. The creature’s mask was pure white, with a very long, gaping black hole where the mouth should be. Seven white horns protruded from the back of the skull to curl outward. Jagged daggers were stuck in its back. Merce could barely make out the hilts, for the thing was so tall. It hunched down so as not to be squashed against the ceiling.

__________

NOT AT ALL WHAT I HAD PLANNED!
More to come later :3

10:00 p.m.

Serious bis now! People are dying D: Shocker, I know.
People always die in my books. I swear, every character of mine has gotten or will be getting PTSD at some point in their lives.

10:42 p.m.
I have my NaNo Hat on. This thing works!
Whilst my character slaughters, I listen to "Kill Everybody" by Skrillex. So fitting.
And now... flaying alive.

In the light of the torch, a person stood. Mutilated beyond recognition. Eyeless sockets. Ribs punched out of the cage. Devoid of skin. Smothered in blood.
“MERCE! RUN!”
The skinless creature never opened its mouth, but the voice came from it.
Merce had never felt so uncertain before. He wanted to understand it. What was it? Why was it like this? Why was there a voice but no movement of the mouth? Why?
“RUN, MERCE! RUN!”
The skinless person took a step toward him. It’s knees buckled slightly. Walking caused it such obvious pain.
“Don’t!” Merce held out a hand to it. “Don’t move, just stay where you are!”
The person, if it really could continue being called that, ignored his cry and took another step.

Moving on...

11:53 p.m.

Well, I've hit the goal of the day at 3559 words. I'm all caught up! Woot!
I have been really lucky at finding music to fit the scene I'm writing. I did Creep Music Box for the dark halls, Kill Everybody for the slasher scene, and then for the weird/but/playful chase scene, I did Shadows by Lindsey Stirling.
I LOVE NANO!

Also, I stalked Filigree's blog and stumbled across the Chibi Maker! I am making chibis of some of my characters!

MERCE from THROUGH STRUGGLE

HOLLY from THROUGH STRUGGLE

RIVER from THROUGH STRUGGLE

TARA SOLOMON from DEATH EATERS

MINERVA GOSS from DEATH EATERS

SAM MESSERLI from DEATH EATERS

ALVIN WRIGHT from DEATH EATERS

GERARD PRESTON from DEATH EATERS

BOB from DEATH EATERS

My two favorite characters:

Anarawd (left) and Train (right)
Train is cute, so he gets a panda hat.

I made tons more, but I won't bore you with them xD

The chibi maker is HERE

I'm gonna go now. It's now 1:05 a.m. on Sunday. Need sleep >.<

Goodnight minions.
