Just wanted to share my organization things since it is late and I wanted to make a quick post ^^ I promise the next one will have relevant things in it.
ANYWAY!
FOR RP SITE STUFF
So I have a special folder full of my random gaming, rping, etc folder called Personal. I keep it separate from School, Writing, Photography, and any other important sections. Personal is just for my random gaming and rp stuff.
In that, I have two special folders: Roleplay Sites and Picturz. Picturz is where I keep all my characters and graphic storage for sites, wattpad, etc.
Now in For RP I have a Characters folder. While not highlighted, see I have seperate folders for character images for Humans, Animals, Creatures, etc. In Humans, I have a folder for photos of people as well as a dumping ground for my 1000+ anime pictures.
In mY cHARACTERS, that is where I have images that I have actually used. I have separate folders for each site I am currently in. In each, I rename the image to be the name of the character. This way I can find them easily when I want to upload the image somewhere.
Now, for the above picture, this is something I started recently. Because I tend to use pictures multiple times, I decided to have a folder called ALL. In that folder, I put any and all anime pictures I have ever used for characters. Then I rename the files to be of the character used. This way, I can see which pictures I used for which character. This way, I can also search for them super easy. It is much easier to look for Dreadknightmare when it is called Dreadknightmare, rather than surf through my thousands of pictures in my dump folder. This also helps me not reuse a pic for several characters, since I tend to always go to my dump folder for pictures, and sometimes, I can't remember which ones I used already, especially for characters I don't always play. Now that they are out of my dump folder and in a separate place, I won't be tempted to use them again when I search for pictures.
Real quick: in Roleplay Sites, I have my sites organized into one of the various folders. My Co-Own is for sites me and another member own (ie: Preliator). Current are for sites I am currently running (ie: Aisethesis). Unused and Processed are sites I am not using, etc.
Inside the Current, you see there is a folder for each site. In each folder is where I organize images, graphics, and notes for each site individually so that I can easily find the content I want to put on a site. It especially helps when I need to re-upload things or move content across sites.
So, that is my rundown of how I organize rp related stuff. Do you all have organized folders too? What do you do to keep track of stuff?
