Caution: Flammable

I don't know, I just needed a catchy title >.<

Um... yah! A warning label on a nail polish bottle! Best title ever!
I just bought white nail polish and it's really cool. I might do alternate white nails and this shimmery blue stuff I got. I'm NOT a girly girl by any stretch, but doing my nails is just something to pass the time, so it's becoming a habit.

Anyway.

In real life, uhhhhh idk. We're getting yet ANOTHER snow storm, which sucks. I wanted to attempt at creating a makeshift punching bag outside, but now it's too cold and a storm is coming. Makes me mad.
I got these mini oreos that are like, Reese's oreos. It's bae.
Um...
I volunteered at our local humane society, I think I mentioned this, but I have not actually shown up. Ever. I swear I will go in on Monday! AGH! I really just want to get a job ;__;

ANIME

I'm watching Kuroko no Basuke and it's uh... it's ok. I guess.
It's not as character driven as I would like. I love character driven stuff more than action driven. Kuroko is definitely more action driven, at least in this season.
The character I relate the most to is Kuroko. On certain levels at least.
I started playing basketball when I was really little. I forget when, but I remember it started at the YMCA. They were doing some stuff where you could go in and try different sports for the day. I went up to my mom at the end and said, "I really wanna play basketball."
My parents, God bless them, were the best about me and my ever changing desires. I always wanted to be the best at everything, but I would always get frustrated because the teachers and coaches would always hold me back. So I left gymnastics and ballet and the other stuff. But basketball, well, I just loved it too much to just quit.
So I started in the YMCA and I was on red team. But since I was so serious about this, my mom took me to the Rec Department to get me into some serious games with real competitions.
I started off on the Storms, and since then, my teams were always the Storms or the Suns. I played basketball for six years. I sucked at basketball for the most part because we were never really taught much as far as strategies and things. Since it wasn't an official club or school monitored thing and since we were always switching out people every year, the coaches were focused on trying to get everyone on the same page and just stuck with basic skills than actually trying to make us a good team. I also feel like maybe they did not have much expectations for us, since, yah know, we were girls. And no one ever takes girls sports seriously.
I eventually had to quit basketball because I was in seventh grade. At that point, you're supposed to go play in the middle schools. But it was around that time that I lost the last bits of extroversion I ever possessed, and the girls in my school were all really mean. I didn't want to play in the seventh grade team. Then my mom started paying for karate lessons, and that was it. I moved on.
In highschool, I went to an online one, so I didn't get to play any basketball then either.
But I still love basketball very much, and it makes me depressed now that I probably will never get the chance to play it again, at least not the way I want to. I do miss being on a court and all that stuff. Sucks that it won't happen, but a girl can dream.
But uh, anyway, Kuroko.
He sucked at basketball but he loved it anyway. And he found his groove and played that to the utmost to become one of the best players ever. That was me back when I played. I wasn't the best shooter. I sucked at defense. But I could do one thing better than anyone: steal the ball. So that's what I did. I would steal the ball and pass it off to the really good shooters. It was the strategy that worked best.
Like Kuroko, at least to begin with, no one really cared much about me. I didn't really have friends or anything on the team. I really do think a lot of people just up and forgot I was there. But my drill sergeant-esque coach was really good at seeing our strengths and weaknesses, and he always seemed to believe in me. So that was great. ^^
This was a bit of a rant, sorry, and I don't know where I was going with this. Um... this is my life in basketball. Yay!
Anyway, I really like Kuroko no Basuke so far.

ART
I HAVE been keeping up on my art. I just haven't gotten around to posting it up yet. So if I get my drawing done today, I'll try to get the other two here and then there will be THREE pictures to show off.

RP
I have been working on religion stuff for Mercury. Wow. I never thought I would get this involved in false religions xD but I'm riding the 'high' as far as it will go because whyyyyy not?

Nothing Much Happening

I don't even know what that anime is, but I really like this song. I just came across it one day. It is rather pretty.

I made no picture or wrote any words yesterday. Shame on me.

Anyway.

Aisthesis is getting done. Liam is making MT. Stuff is happening! I'm excited!

Um, not much else to say really. I sincerely hope that we can start getting more plots underway at the various rp places. Also, Skyrim and Were Myths both need more attention. I keep telling myself to stay on top of that, but so far, no luck.

I will also be getting back to working diligently on TaWei, IS, and Mercury once the silly aisthesis stuff is FINALLY finished. Huge shout out to Dawny and Star for getting us new topics for the new places!

20:39
Ok, so that song up there is NOT the one I meant.. but um... it still sounds nice for the most part :3

This is ra-ciel reincarnation or something. THIS was the song I meant. :3

20:43
Scratch that. Just looked it up. It's actually a game for the PS3 called Ar Nosurge. And it actually sounds pretty cool. Go wiki it.

No Strings On Me

I'm obsessed with this song now xD

In other news:

I drew a picture yesterday, so I will upload it to yesterday's blog as an aftermath. I was too lazy to take a picture of it, hence the delay.

I started a forums game on Tragedia Rex where we (me, dawny, star, cel, whoeverelsewantstobuttin) go back and forth writing short stories based on prompts that we give each other. So far it's going well. I've written six already. This definitely brings my word count challenge goals to the top!
But it is two am and I am tired, so I bid y'all goodnight.

Playing Catch Up

12:40

I did draw and write yesterday, I jsut did not make a blog post because I was too busy watching the second Death Note movie. OMFG! If you saw Death Note, GO WATCH THE MOVIES! They are the best thing ever! I was blown away by the ending and actually cried. I never cry in live action movies (except Titanic) but this was... I can't even describe it. They did a FANTASTIC job! I loved the actors they picked for Light (Battle Royale! whoot!) and for L! Ohmygod, if L was a real person it would be THAT GUY! He does L PERFECTLY! I was blown away...

Okay, anyway, for writing, I got maybe a hundred words in last night. I started on a flashfiction of Nikolai making a robot for somebody (prompt from Dawny) and I will finish that today. I also opened up Death Eaters! Whaaaaat? Yah, it's been so long, but I was randomly inspired to open it up again, so maybe I'll work on some of that. I really should be focusing on Write This Down, but I am toooo lazy....

And for drawing, I drew this...

it's a masterpeeeece

I was trying to draw something much, MUCH cooler and whatnot, but the skills just would not happen, so I went for uber simple and played with mah crap shading skeelz.

It's simply called "Gone: It Was That Easy" and it actually is a very deep and emotional drawing for me. Though if my skills are up to par today, I'll probably be able to show the REAL vision I had for this piece. Or rather that piece...

Anyway, I've been playing rp catch up for a while now, and I am determined to get caught up in all my postings EVENTUALLY!

LATER THAT DAY

So, I got my drawing in for today!

I was playing around with a different type of head shape, trying to go for a more shonen look, more to give him an older appearance than anything.
This is Lodos. He's about twenty-four or so. He actually has black hair, but I did not want to color it in just in case I want to change the hairstyle. As you can see, I gave up on shading halfway too.
Lodos came to life out of the blue last night while I was thinking about Attack on Titan with lightsabers... Don't ask...
He was sort of a character concept I was actually playing around with for the same Steampunk book that Lazlo appears in, but he never had a name. Then I decided to give him a name last night, and now I guess they also run around my little AoT head-fannon together now too. Which is good, I guess, since Lazlo is supposed to have a squad, but no one was ever in his squad... yah...
no one cares about head-fannons

ANYWAY
That's my art.
Stay tuned for more.
I actually will be posting tomorrow with a bunch of old art I never put up from the days when I could actually draw shtuff.

Challenging Myself

I do literally nothing all day long, and I lament my lack of skills in certain areas. So I have decided to challenge myself.
I must write 100 words of a story (not an rp, a STORY) a day, and I must draw something, anything at least ONE thing, every single day.
Every. Single. Day.
Practice makes perfect after all.

So to start off the little challenge thing, um, I got my drawing done!

Obviously not the best thing I've drawn since I'm out of practice, but I'm still very satisfied with it.

So, this is my insert-OC for Attack on Titan. At least, MY version of Attack on Titan. He has an uber complex backstory that I'm not going to totally get into right now... um... but here are the basics.
His name is Lazlo Valentine. He's 19 and he actually does not belong to any part of the canon universe (sort of).
I'm not really going to say anymore because no one cares...
Lazlo Valentine was originally an insert-OC for Black Butler, then evolved into my character Lazlo for a really, uber creepy Steampunk book I started writing a few years back... Yah...
And there's a reason why half his face is different from the other...

It's his dead twin brother.

I tried drawing the scout division jacket but failed so hard, so I just erased it.... yah...

ANYWAY!

Guess what I did today?

I dug my white wig out to try it on, because I had been struggling to keep a wig on without having my hair bulge out in the back. The wig actually fits me REALLY well. I love it to death now.
But why stop there?
So I covered my face and neck in white acrylic (water based) paint, then did my eyes in liquid eyeliner. Added some red lipstick, threw on a dress, and dragged my friend to the freeway. The cars provided some awesome lighting.

Fun, fun! We're going back tomorrow during the day to try again. I really wanted to get shots of me on the frozen lake and then with the ice covered trees behind me on the railroad tracks. But it was way to dark to trek through the woods, so yah, it'll have to be tomorrow.

I actually love how gritty the too-dim lighting and the pixelation result made the pictures look so dark and grim ^^

Couldn't Even Say Goodbye

I got inspired to write the story of Nikolai's kidnapping, but then was even more inspired to draw this.
It's Valaerian finding his dead panther.

The death of Valaerian's panther is very important for many reasons, and I think it might even have some symbolism to it... it's hard to explain. I hope to do so more through the story I will be writing.

For those of you who don't know, Valaerian and Nikolai are twin brothers in the Krutikov family for Aisthesis. Valaerian (rped by Dawny) is the heir and Nikolai is, well, I don't know what yet. He's all mine though.

This is their real picture used in the rp. Valaerian is on the left, Nikolai on the right.
The panther and wolves are guardians created for them through their mothers powers. They are larger than the real animals, will disappear when Valaerian and Nikolai die, and are immortal to age, disease, poison, and the majority of physical injuries. It was interesting that there were two wolves swarming Nikolai but only one panther stands by Valaerian, so Dawny and I deduced that one of his panthers died, and so the whole idea of Nikolai being kidnapped and the one panther going off to save him to eventually die doing so, was born.
Of course, lots of interesting character development came of that, which I plan to put into the story...

So yah. That pic up there. I worked hard. Like ten minutes... yaaaaay...
Sorry for all the smudges... small drawing, big eraser...

IN OTHER NEWS!
We did not take Noraneko to the shelter. A lady contacted my friend on facebook and begged us to have him. We took him over to her house, and he will definitely be loved there. He was really nervous at first, but after ten minutes, he was rubbing on everyone and lounging by the heater.
I will miss the purr-bottom muchly, but I'm so glad he is in a loving, kind home now! Good luck, Noraneko!

KITTY!

This is Noraneko!

PickleBunny and I saw him wandering outside. Weather foretold an ice storm incoming in just an hour, so after the whole puppy saving, I decided to give kitty a helping hand.
We tried to get him to the shelter, but we got there too late. So we took him home.

The poor thing was so smelly, fur matted, multiple wounds on his ear and legs, fleas were crawling under his fur. Eew.
So I gave him a thorough bath and a flea treatment. And I stuck him in a crate in my room. He's been purring for the last few hours. It's been an interesting experience for him, but already I can see his mood improved.

He's eating happily and snuggling up on a comfy towel. We're going to try taking him to the Humane Society tomorrow to see if he's microchipped. Otherwise, I'm hoping to pawn him off on some friends. I would LOVE to keep this cuddle butt, but we already have three cats and a dog. So... yah. Plus our landlord probably wouldn't be so happy.

We called him Noraneko, Japanese for "wandering cat".

**I'm only 80% sure it's a boy... he's so fluffy, I can't tell xD

So that's what I did today!

Some Updating Time!

I haven't made a blog post in forever, omg >.> Well, here goes!

REAL LIFE

So, we got three inches of snow, and y'all know what that means: prepare for the apocalypse!
Seriosuly, people flooded the stores to fight over the last jug of milk. OMG people it's THREE INCHES!!!
Southerners are so strange... but anywho.
I started volunteering at the animal shelter. Well, at least, I got signed up. But then I kept getting busy so I couldn't go in. And now I'm watching the kids cause they have snow days all week and their mom is out at a conference in California. I don't mind babysitting, but one of these days I need to actually get to the shelter and do what I signed on to do, yah know!
Nothing much else really happened. Um... Valentine's Day happened. I got a plushie cupcake. It's very adorable. And then we all went out to eat Thai food! mucho delish!

ON TO ROLEPLAY
Ermahgerd, um...
So I brought in a category on Aisthesis where you can rp the pasts of your characters. Meria, Filigree, and I are rping Marius' when he was eight years old. Some other people are rping pasts too.
Mortalitatis is being revamped by Kshi! Yay! I really don't know what to do with my characters... they never really had a chance to stand out for me. I might revamp some... I'll definitely be keeping Amaryllis though. He's adorable! I'm really happy that Mort is being revamped. I have missed rping there a lot.
Chromacity is all finished. I don't think I mentioned that. Mania, Flamer, and I have been rping there a little. We're not that consistent, but oh well.
ReLR is going really well! If you don't know what that is, it's Romance-Love-Romance, which is my site. It pretty much turns dating sims into roleplays. I started it at first as a joke so that I could rp Hatoful Boyfriend, as a joke. But then I made a more serious game called The Luna Child for Cel and I to play, and it's going really well. She's making GORGEOUS fan art! Omg, I love it all!
Dawny is also playing there with this vampire and werewolf game I made. And she might be playing Luna Child as well sometime. Cel just made a game last night called Kyofu Academy Horror. It's like dating Higurashi but with highschoolers, wherein all the available girls are yanderes.
Ok, so, I was having trouble naming my character, so I asked Dawny "GIVE ME A RANDOM WORD NOW!"
And now the hero of this game is named Hashimoto Potato. He is the best character ever. He and JazzPony's Cruise Farland will be the best of friends...

ANIME!
I finished so much anime it's ridiculous. I won't be giving full length reviews yet, but here's just some little blurbs with my thoughts.

Attack on Titan
I watched it a second time! OMG the feels ;___;

Basilisk
Finished it finally! OMG the feels ;__;
So it was pretty good. Around the later episodes, there were much more boobs than I anticipated. Like full on nude boobs. Eew. But I still finished it. It was really, really good. The character development was amazing, even if certain actions by the characters did not totally make sense right away. I feel kind of bad that the anime was so short. Because of that, certain characters did not get as developed as they could have been, which was disappointing. But I still loved (most of) them, and there were definitely feels.

Death Note
OHMYGODDEATHNOTEWHYYYYY????
Death Note was absolutely amazing! I had a lot of doubts going in because the majority of the fanbase was your typical "omg squee fangirl screech I love L/Light! so sexy! much love. so wow." And so I kept this anime in the background for a while. But then my friend recommended it to me (he needs a name... um... NerdyBatman.... yah). He has tastes similar to mine (Wolf's Rain, Attack on Titan, Highschool of the Dead) so I trusted his judgement.
OMG! BEST DECISION EVER!
It's a show that really makes you think. And it is also the best anime to watch when trying to see how to portray a sociopath character (*cough cough* Light *cough*). I was on the edge of my seat most of the time, and boy, the feels were strong in this one. Not to the depths that Attack on Titan went, or Wolf's Rain, but they were pushing it. I have also never been so conflicted about an anime before. I could not decide who I wanted to win more: Light, the sociopath who kills people and thinks he's a god, or the detectives trying to stop him from ruling the world. It really was hard, and by the end, I was just a ball of feels for a while.

*spoiler alert* Ikuto's friggin Final form... even Magikarp had it better....
Shugo Chara Doki
Shugo shugo!
I finally finished Shugo Chara. There are Party episodes, but watching those isn't a priority. I watched this right after Death Note just to give me something to do and to GET OVER WITH IT ALREADY!
I don't know how I feel about that ending with finding out who Easter is and all... I just... wow... it was kind of disappointing, and really cutesy. But that's what this anime is supposed to be, so I guess they get an A+ for magical, cutesy, feel-goody ness.
A really nice show, albiet a long one. I don't exactly reccomend it. I only watched it now for the nostalgia reasons. I started it when I was eleven, and recently I was just curious how it ended, so yah.

Zankyou no Terror
Thanks Mania... thanks...
I thought Death Note had ruined my feels for the week, but ohmygod, my feels heart was drained and crushed by this little gem. I was rather skeptical with this show. It was eleven episodes, and even at episode eight I was confused. I had more questions than answers, nothing seemed to make much sense to me, and I was worried that the series was just going to "end" without really getting anywhere.
HOLY S##T was I wrong!
As I said, it crushed and drained my feels heart. I was sobbing at the end. It was the best/worst thing ever.
I love Nine and Twelve so much! They had some beautiful character development, more seen once you learn of their past and then take note of all their actions up to the end. It was a horrible choice since I had just finished Death Note and was still riding those feels, but... wow. Just wow. If you ever have time to kill on a weekend, just do a marathon of Zankyou no Terror. It's available on animefreak.tv for free.

*omg, they actually made the grim reaper into a chibi xD*

Zombie Loan
*sigh*
Currently I'm watching Zombie Loan. This is honestly some crap anime right here. The concept is interesting enough, but the show itself... sucks.
Seriously! These people are so effin lazy! They couldn't even put in the sound effect for a door opening and closing! And the voices sound like they were recorded on used hentai mics. Why?
And the animation is just as crappy too. And the plots don't make sense. And the characters are not likable at all. The drawing style sucks. Why am I watching this? Idk. Just to get it off my list I guess. Also, why not? It's like, thirteen episodes.
And omg: self aware characters! NUUUUU!
At the funeral of an un-named bit character... >.<

DON'T TRY TO BE ATTACK ON TITAN! OKAY!!!! I ALREADY KNOW THE PAIN OF A BIT CHARACTER'S DEATH!!!! I SAW TITANS EAT PEOPLE!!!

THAT'S ALL FOR NOW, MINIONS! I leave to go rp some stuuuufffff.....
