Oh the Misery

Lately I've been having a case of the plot bunnies something fierce. I just opened my bedroom door and they all came tumbling into my room in massive, fluffy waves. These things are EVERYWHERE! I guess during my case of writer's block they were all breeding in secret or something just WAITING for the chance to strike!

I talked to TheJazzPony about it a bit, and she suggested I ping-pong through my stories, ie: go back and forth between them. Eventually I'll get something finished. I've decided to take her advice. So here we go people!

Your Gods Will Fall
It is a world that isn't exactly like our own, but at first glance, one wouldn't think it was much different at all. What really stands out are the giant winged beasts with the breath of flame: dragons. Here they are worshipped, sacrificed to, loved and served. They are gods, and they rule over humanity with absolute and divine power.
Alder, son of Aldred, is a young boy who lives in one of the Holy Cities. When the god Athaemos prophecizes that a foul evil has risen in the South, Alder quickly joins up with the knights to slaughter this foe, fueled by a desire for proven his worth and righteous indignation.
But when he comes face-to-face with the evil, a Dragonslayer by the name of Marius Rose, things take a horrifying turn for the unexpected and the worse. He learns of the terrible burden Marius bears, the horrendous sufferings he endures, and the monstrous things these supposedly holy gods partake in. He inevitably agrees to join sides with Marius and take down the dragons once and for all.
A storm is brewing. The tides are turning. And as all of heaven and hell breaks loose, it seems not even the Dragonslayer can stand against the power of the gods.

Infinite Sorrow: Battlefield Lullabies
It is the year 1843. The Angels have returned back to the hole from whence they came. Civilization is being restored. The Factions are growing.
But unrest remains at the heart of everything.
Reminisce of the four hundred year war that barely ended a year ago, men are being taken once more from their homes to the Stratorium Academy. The graduates are instantly sent to the Maeter Purge where the Angel threat is supposedly restrained. It shouldn't be terribly unusual, except the number of men needed is ridiculously high. Conspiracy lurks at every corner. Leaders are dying left and right at the hands of untraceable assassins. The faction leaders are sending threats. A new power rises. War only threatens to brew once more.
Will there never be peace?

Yes! I am pumped for both novels and can't quite decide which to focus on first, hence my diverting to the ping-pong method. Both are generously inspired by anime and video games that I love, both have a host of characters I can't wait to meet, and the plots are enough to draw me in yet loose enough for flexibility.

My only concerns:

Your Gods Will Fall: Needs some more world developing. Like a lot. I'm also not entirely sure where the plot will go.
Infinite Sorrow: Not sure which characters I want to focus on. I have two picked out, but I really wanted to do a third and maybe a fourth. Just can't decide on who the third and fourth ought to be.
Both: There are Holy places. In YGWF, there's the Holy Cities. In ISBL, there is the Holy Fallen Empire. Meh. I'll probably change YGWF then...

So yah! Writing!

As far as Roleplay goes: INFINITE SORROW is becoming a roleplay site! WHOARGH! Stay tuned!
