Aisthesis seems to be picking up, and somehow, I am managing to keep up for the most part. I will fall behind on a post here and there, but that is alright. At least I'm doing better at getting about ten or so posts in per night. It helps when I can focus on a few characters at a time.
I have decided to move fifteen of my Aisthesis characters to the TBK list which can be viewed under the home page of Steampunk Guinea Pig. The moved characters are:
Balthazar Taghvei, Caspar Taghvei, Melchior Taghvei, Sagremor Pendragon, Kaius Pendragon, Logan Shield, Acario Ravenscroft, Reo Kapura, Jareth Oltorrier, Decibel Rex, Sora Abendroth, Iratian Draconis, Galen Sorabella, Leiselotte Oltorrier, and Majoric Nightingale.
You shall notice that the list is compromised of characters I never or almost never have rped. Since they do have bios and have been on the site for some time now, they will be top priority for being removed from the TBK list should I choose to take someone off.
I did this because I am making more characters in more needed places and these guys just frustrate me in all honesty. It's hard to keep creativity flowing when I feel bogged down. While I love having 90+ characters, it can be a bit overwhelming trying to keep up with them all. I am determined to one day get some of them involved in things, but for the time being: no. I do need to make room for my new people after all.
Speaking of, I have been getting bios cranked out in due course. I have a fully finished character in each of our new families (Nikolai Krutikov in Krutikov, Strix Vespa in Vespa, and Tosuto in Sakayama). I have three more characters plotted for Sakayama and one for Krutikov, though the Krutikov might be scrapped for later. He just does not appeal to me all that well.
ANIME
I finished Higurashi no Naku Koro ni FINALLY! Ohmygosh. That first season ended waaaaaay differently than how I expected. Usually everyone dies in the end. That's just Higurashi's thing. But the final episode, while everyone died, they did not die the way the show set it up to be.
Now I'm nearing the end of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai, which is called the series of answer arcs. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is typically called the series of question arcs in that we are presented with several stories that make us question certain things. While a few things are explained in the question arcs, such as the curse, the character's backstories, who Satoshi was, and other little things like that, it kept giving us more things to wonder about. But now the Kai series is answering just about everything for us, including what sort of strings are being pulled behind the scenes. Kai has some of the most gripping arcs ever. Several times I was in tears. While this is not a show I recommend for the faint of heart, if you can stomach pure, raw psychological horror and the gruesome deaths perpetrated by and enacted on children as young as seven, then by all means: watch this series. It is often called horror, but it is not the horror you usually see. It definitely redefines the genre and makes you think and question everything that happens in every storyline. So if you can handle torture and murder, go watch. Otherwise, just be happy knowing that there is an amazing show out there called Higurashi ^^
On a less gruesome but in no way less depressing note, I stumbled across a gem called Les Miserables Shoujo Cosette.
Yes: a Les Miserables anime.
This show was intended for younger audiences and it shows in very subtle ways. They removed the prostitution bit and toned down (well, pretty much removed entirely) the blood in the final battle. But the show was still miserable, and I cried. A lot. Like a baby. About as much as the musical with Wolverine, but just spread out over 50 episodes instead of three hours.
What I love about anime in general is that with a series, you get to be with the characters a lot more. Things also are better flushed out. This show proves it above all. I actually learned all the names of the Friends of the ABC and I was so heartbroken by each of their deaths. Fantine and Cosette's trials were also spanned out over ten to maybe twelve episodes, which meant more sadness. Like holy cow, Cosette got beaten and starved at least three times each episode. THE MISERY! But the good points were that, in a show, we do see that Marius and Cosette's relationship was not just a one night, insta-gro love fling. It was developed and worked on for a few months. Even though they had the whole "love at first sight", they had a few months to actually develop together and grow in their affection and friendship. It was a very beautiful thing.
Another highlight of the show was that, as a show, they were able to include a lot more of the book than the movie was able to. I mean, they actually include Eponine's sister! And that Gavroche is her brother. And they have the Bishop Myriel show up more. He was such a crucial character to the books, and I was so happy to see more of him and whatnot in the anime. Probably not as much as I would have liked to see, but quite a lot more of him nonetheless.
Also: total change of opinion on Eponine. In the movies, we see her as the good hearted girl that just got stuck with sucky Thenadiers. Honestly, she was a spoiled, selfish brat who HATED Cosette, and they show this in the anime. While there are points where we feel a little bad for her, the fact that she would rather Marius run to the dangerous and deadly barricade than see Cosette is rather selfish and cruel. And her blatant desire to NEVER let Cosette see happiness is kind of... mean...
But she is redeemed in the end, which was good. And yes, I was sad when she died.

Fun facts: Cosette is the actress behind Nunally in Code Geass and Javert is voiced by the guy who plays the murdering father in Ju-On.
Speaking of, don't watch Ju-On >.> Just don't.... please... I didn't get sleep for four days thanks to that dumb movie and my overactive imagination...
But on the bright side of that, I finished Les Mis so fast because I pulled those four all nighters xD
Another note on movies, just for the sake of rambling...
Watchmen. Go watch. It is not your typical superhero movie at all. There is some nudity in there >.< eew. But the movie itself is fantastic. Rorschach is my favorite superhero ever now! He's like, Batman, but he kills people. Violently. Like OMG. But he is AMAZING AND I LOVE HIM! <3
Death Note. All three movies are the bomb. Usually the live actions of an anime suck, but not these. The Death Note movies were so beautiful, and they gave us the ending to Death Note we all wanted but never received. If anything, you have to watch it to see L. The actor who plays L is the most amazing actor I have ever witnessed. He is LITERALLY L in human form. He plays L to a perfect and absolute T, as if L himself crawled out of the anime to grace our presences. And as a fun fact, the one who plays L was actually the voice of Gelus in the anime xD
Granted, some downsides to the movies were that the relationship between L and Light was not done as well as we would have liked, and they did have to combine two arcs to get the plot going, but the movies were still extraordinary and should be seen by all Death Note fans!
