Quiet Pine Trees #2: Kill Me Please

"We all got one wish. Billions could fly. He got the recipe for room-temperature superconductivity. He wondered what was wrong with his soul."
T. R. Darling ~ Quiet Pine Trees

The lights burned.
Keeping to his shadowy corner, he tried to make out the different figures dancing in a cacophony of sound and silk, but with their howls of delight and mesmerizing twirls and poses, everything turned into one maddening blur.
He had to find Acey though. He had to.
Digging his fingernails into the brick of the wall, he felt he had something to cling to. Something solid. Before he ventured out into all this confusion.
Stay calm, he warned himself.
With a shuddering step, he entered the crowd.
Swept away by it, he soon lost all sense of direction and sense of himself.
He was a fish going against the tide. That is always a dangerous thing.
He risked being crushed by their antics.
"Why don't you dance?" came a voice in his ear. If not for the masquerade mask, a necessity for the festival, the owner of the voice would have seen his fear. His flinch at least was lost in all the movement about.
He looked up to see vicious rat eyes peering through the holes of a lion mask. The teeth were bared in what was an attempt at a grin, but with such a thing looming he couldn't help but quiver.
He swallowed the lump in his throat. "I am looking for my partner."
"Ah! How wonderful! Then enjoy the dance!" The lion masked creep spun away to be lost in the throng again.
He knew they were not real. Merely sentries for this strange place.
But Acey liked to come here. Liked to fill himself with as much Awaken as he could pump into his veins. Then he would lose himself in this mad world.
Then Acey would come to him sobbing and shaking and "Why does it hurt?" and "Make it stop!" and "It's too much for me!".
And even worse was that heart wrenching, soft, little whisper.
"Kill me please."
He didn't want to be here, but he had to find Acey.

It was always scary to watch Acey dance. When he did, he wasn't Acey anymore.
Through all the changes he witnessed in his friend, this was the most bizarre.
He moved mechanically. Like a robot. He couldn't control himself right. Spinning and twisting. Laughing hysterically. Tearing at other people. Their faces. Their clothes. Their masks. Their eyes. He would tear down some of the lights and wrap himself in their cords. He would spasm as if in a seizure. He would stop and just stare at things that weren't there.
He hated it when Acey danced.
But at least he could find Acey because of it.

His friend was standing in a throng of neon dresses and puffy white wigs and pastel parasols. Maidens in varied animal masks laughing and shouting and cackling mad. And he was patting their wigs as if they were soft animals on top of the girls' heads.
Then he dropped his hands and stared up beyond the reach of the sky.
He always wondered what Acey found up there.
Acey looked down and met his eyes and all he saw was terror.
He stepped forward, weaseling through the ladies, and grabbed his friend's arm.
"Let's go home, Acey."
The three girls froze and turned to him in rapt unison.
Mechanical. Like a robot.
"Why don't you dance?"
Their trio of voices echoed demonically in his ear, rattling his skull.
He forced cheerfulness into his voice. "We have a date to bake cookies together with lots of rainbow sprinkles!"
They snapped to ease. "Oh how lovely!" said one. "Have fun on your date!"
"Thank you for keeping my friend entertained!" he replied as jovially as he did not feel. Then he gripped Acey's arm tight and entered the fray once more.
Acey turned in his grip to hold his wrist tightly.
To save them both from drowning maybe.

Returned to their retreat in the old boxcar, he helped Acey inside and sat him down in a chair. Acey was limp as a ragdoll, perpetually melting into the seat, staring through the floor to the core of the Earth.
"Acey?" he murmured softly, pulling the mask off his friend's face.
Acey wouldn't respond.
"Acey? Come back please. I'm here. I love you. I want to help you."
Acey blinked and looked up, meeting his eyes. A wan smile cracked his face like stone. "I could see them." His voice broke, hoarse and agonized.
"I know," he replied, pulling Acey into an embrace. "It's ok."
Acey held on tight and wouldn't let go. It hurt. To be crushed in so much desperation. But he loved Acey and wouldn't let go either.
"Why couldn't I be smart like you? Or dumb like them? To fly, to have worlds of parties, to call toys out of thin air, immortality; or phasing through objects or telekinesis or infinite charisma. Why me? Why this?"
"Smart? I think I was rather dull."
"And I was the dumbest of them all."
"You don't have to walk this road alone, Acey."
"But I'm... I'm the only one..."
"No. No. I'm here." He pressed a palm to Acey's chest. "In your heart. So you can never be alone. And I'm also here. Right in front of you. Holding on."
Acey pulled away and rubbed the tears furiously from his eyes.
"Kill me please," came that soft, terrible whisper of a plea. "I don't want to see people's souls anymore."

Quiet Pine Trees #1: Remember Humankind

“Alien myths told of human brutality. Braver civilizations invited us to their homeworlds as scarecrows. Primordial fear kept enemies at bay."
T. R. Darling ~ Quiet Pine Trees

Clear black night hung with stars, sucking away the gaze turned longingly towards them.
Cold was the air and cold were the bones of the old scarecrow slumped in its bonds.
From where did we come from? It wondered silently. If it had the power to open its thread-and-needle mouth, it would voice its lamentations. But who would hear?
Not the other ragdoll corpses sloughing in their rot.
Who decided for us that this was better than death? The scarecrow wondered silently.
If it could just widen the stapled gap between lid and lid and take in the world around it, the scarecrow wondered if it would see heaven or hell.
View limited, everything looked like hell.
Talons dug into its arm, making the scarecrow flinch. A loud peal of shrieking emenated and the wild beat of wings. Whatever fowl had been there was now scared away.
Scarecrow serving its purpose. Maybe.
It’s purpose could always be to die. Now there was a heavenly thought in hell indeed.
“We invited you!” the aliens said, sweetly, softly, sewing the scarecrow’s mouth.
“We saved you!” the aliens said, slowly, somberly, stapling the scarecrow’s eyes.
We conquered you and destroyed you and raped you and cheated you and sacrificed you.
The aliens said the human race was an abominable thing. Said they did nothing but conquer and destroy and rape and pillage and lie and cheat and kill and murder.
Said it all with every ounce of hypocrisy as they enacted such miseries to be the saviours.
The aliens laughed with their newfound toys, dancing gleefully like children at Christmas.
“Look at these wonderful things we have rescued away! Let us take these terrifying abominations and put them to good use!”
As freak shows as experiments as prisoners as monsters as scarecrows.
And so died humans.
So rose objects.
These new objects toiled away at their masters’ desires. Forgot themselves and loathed themselves. A murmuring mass all lowing the same lament: “we are the worst of all things and deserve nothing more than this existence as monsters.”
But the scarecrow remembered the human race.
Remembered it for its beauty. Remembered it for its ugliness. Each individual of that collective a spark burning bright in unity. A conflagration of souls, beautiful in its juxtaposed balanced of good and evil together. Every waking infant a realm of infinite possibilities and impossibilities, every dying elder a library of moments imprinted on the fabric of history. Infinite evil and darkness and horror coexisted with infinite good and light and pleasure.
And for this, the perfectly balanced life form ever conceived in the universe burned and sang and bled all over the gemstone homeworld it named Earth.
The aliens chose to remember its pain.
The scarecrow remembered its glory.

All the World's a Stage

Or something. Just needed a fancy title. I don't do stage stuff, sorry.

WRITING
Nothing.
The end.
Okay, I've done a little teeny amount.
I have stuff and projects and things that I want to write so bad, but they are all on my laptop. Which apparently has a major fucking issue. Could be the charging port. Could be the damn logic board. Not gonna know till I send it in. First I have to rip everything off the hard drive. Then I can send it in and find out how expensive it will be to fix it. *sigh*
ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR SHIT, CHILDREN!!!
I started a sort of short little novel thing using google docs (gawd I love that program). It's called Polaris: the Cursed of Sarnath, and jsut like the title implies, it is a conjoined smash up of the H. P. Lovecraft's short stories "Polaris", "the Doom That Came to Sarnath", and "the Alchemist". It's more or less a sequel to "the Doom that came to Sarnath" and features the survivor of Sarnath's fall, Cantarella, wandering the world with his faithful bodygaurd as they search for a cure to his curse. It kinda has a Final Fantasy feel to it (at least that's my aim) cause at the time I read those stories I was watching Final Fantasy Brotherhood.
I also finally buckled down and wrote out stuff for my thriller The Collector, for any of you who heard me ramble about that one.
And I believe that is all the writing. Except for LARP backstory shenanigans, there really isn't anything else that I have been writing.

READING
I mentioned that I was going on a reading binge, but thanks to my new job, I don't really have time. Once I get adjusted to my new schedule, I hope to pick up reading again. Working through "Maximum Ice" so far as well as the Lovecraft collection. For the Lovecraft collection, I'm on "From Beyond", which chronologically is the 21st of his 100+ or so works.
I also learned that my collection does not contain EVERYTHING he wrote, which makes me sad, but oh well.

ROLEPLAY
I finally got around to making a blog pertaining to rp http://websiteprometheus.blogspot.com

Otherwise, I am slowly getting back into rping. It is slow...

CRAFTING
New projects of which I will post pictures soon!

WATCHING

------------------Rurouni Kenshin

Binge watching while I craft because why not. When I do crafting, I get too bored with just music in the background, so I turn to long, uncomplicated anime like this one for relief. That's how I got through re-watching Kuroko seasons 1 and 2. I am on episode 31 of the 95 episodes. Thankfully I have more crafting coming up so I can hopefully get through another big binge of them.
It's a good show. I prefer the dub to the sub. It happens.

=============Psycho Diver

Piece of shit anime.
Like it would have been better as a series with actual character development and more actual psycho diving. It was just very, very weak with a forced love plot and there was way more tell than show and it was just... ugh. I honestly can't believe some people call this anime good. It is horrible. And like, they say it's a "cyberpunk" but you would NEVER know that by watching it. It has no world building, character development, or anything just.... no.
Also why the hell did people call this anime violent? There were like, three scenes at best with blood in them and they weren't even that bad. Like really.

-----------------------Psycho Pass

I'm watching this, slowly, with a friend. It is interesting so far, but I'm not sure.... idk.
It looks good. I'm starting to get more and more into it. Probably need to watch it a second time so that I can absorb things better.
The theme songs are definitely awesome.

=============Infinite Stratos 2

Because reasons.

------------------------Parasyte

BEST ANIME EVER,
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
HAVE NOT HAD FEELS LIKE THESE SINCE ATTACK ON TITAN.
THOSE ARE VERY SPECIFIC FEELS.
GO WATCH THIS.
IT IS SO AMAZING I CAN'T EVEN!!!!!!

==============Senyuu.

Amazing comedy. Super short episodes, like four minutes no joke. Love it to death. It's up there with Nozaki-kun and Bludgeoning Angel as one of my favorite comedies ever!

---------------Sunday Without God

Just started it. It looks SO promising. First two episodes and I was hooked. Animation is beautiful. The feels creep up on you. Starts out deceptively happy with an undertone of dun-dun-dun. Kinda like Gakkou Gurashi on the deception, but not that extreme.

IN SHORT, YOU SHOULD WATCH: Parasyte and Senyuu.
Those I haven't finished yet I don't recommend, because again, haven't finished them yet.

Also my friend yelled at me for blacklisting the second season of Code Geass, so guess what I'm watching next >.>

Writer's Frustra-Block!

There is no actual term in the writer's circle to describe this particular emotion. Maybe because not everyone goes through it. Maybe I'm the only one.
I tried calling it "Writer's Frustration", but that term popped up a bunch of articles related to "I'm not getting published". I don't have the qualifications to read those since, ya know, I'm not published. They don't apply to me. Calling this feeling "Writer's Block" usually turns up articles on finding creativity again. But this is not what it's about. I have Writer's Frustra-Block!

I'm so frustrated that I'm blocked. In writing :3

Someone give me the Nobel Name Come Up With Prize (coined by PeanutButterGamer).

Basically this feeling is where I HAVE creativity. I KNOW what I want to write. I want to write. I want to DO THE THINGS! WRITE ALL THE THINGS! I just can't. It's like when something really, REALLY is on the tip of your tongue, but it won't get the fuck off your tongue already. And so you sit there and get frustrated, and the more frustrated you are, the more your thoughts get jumbled and blood pressure rises. And that just makes you more frustrated because you really, really want to write. OMG! You're so excited! You have everything in place. Just type the damn thing! But your fingers just hover over the keyboard keys and your fingertips are aching to push down on those square buttons and your eyes strain at the white page with the endlessly blinking | that indicates where text is supposed to appear. But for SOME reason, you just can't make it happen!

This is what I'm going through. Writer's Frustra-Block.

And it sucks.

Days Gone By

This is a blog post. Not a very good one, but I need to post something. So here are some updates about what I'm reading and watching.

READING
Yes, I am reading! How magical.
No really. I have had my personal library stored in various boxes and inaccessible since October, and it was very depressing. But now I have my bookshelf set up and all my paperback babies out on display so I can finally READ again.
Back in So. Illinois, I had a deal with myself that instead of buying junk food, I would use that spending money from my job to buy books at the half-price bookstore instead. Some of them were gems, like "The Hallowed Hunt" by Lois McMaster Bujold or the first two books in the Charlie Bone series by Jenny Nimmo. But still, a lot of those fantasy paperbacks were only $3, so I splurged now and again on random titles that intrigued me. And now I'm finally going through my massive stacks of paperback fantasy stuff.

First and foremost, I am reading the COMPLETE works of H. P. Lovecraft. I binge read about ten stories a day, then take a break and turn to one of my fantasies. Currently my favorite Lovecraft stories are Polaris, the Cursed of Sarnath, the Outsider, The Case of Charles Dexter Ward, and At the Mountains of Madness. I'll add more as I read them, I'm sure. But so far, those are the favorites.

Now, for the fantasies, I have finished one and am halfway through a second. The first is called "Silver's Edge" by Anne Kelleher. It's pretty cool, being all about Celtic lore, the fae, the realm of Sidhe and man, and there is lots of political intrigue to be found within. It was pretty decent, I won't go too much into it. You can read the premise online. My main problem with it was that the ending was building up to this ermahgerd climax and then just sort of fizzled out into a hastily wrapped ending because "ermg, we need to make monies with a sequel". So I was not very happy with how that was handled. I'm sure the sequel is necessary. By the end of the book, there was still a LOT that needed to be done/answered, but she could have handled the first book's ending better.

Second one, the one I'm currently reading, is "Luck In the Shadows" by Lynn Flewelling. It's a story about spies and their encounter with magic. Or something. It's really a bigee when you're halfway through a book and there is no established plot. So far they just wander around, eating food, sleeping in inns, and listening to ENDLESS WORLDBUILDING..... ugh! I genuinely find the world intriguing. It's very rich and varied, and I would maybe like exploring it sometime, but the delivery is very... not good. Huge chunks are sprinkled throughout, and the characters drop these bizarre names of places, peoples, and historical figures at the drop of a hat to the point where I can't keep track of them all. And then there are also the random bombs they throw. See, the world was introduced as a very realistic one, for the most part. The strangest thing around seemed to be "oh yah, wizards exist". But while the characters are meandering around, they pass by a centaur. A friggin centaur. And they act like it's no big deal. I was like, "wait... a centaur? A real centaur? Omg. When did that get there? Those exist in this world?" It was really, really disturbing. And then it just kept happening... and it got annoying... really fast. Also, the lack of any real depth to the characters. I think they're ok in general, but there is no reason on earth why I want to care. I feel like the book wants me to care, but I have no reason to. UGH!

Ok, that was a bit of a rant. On to other things.

WATCHING
Anime.
Of course.
I'm not going to go on rants or big descriptions, I'm just going to tell you names and what to watch.

----------Noir

 - Was... slow. Very slow. Pacing was awful. One of the most painful things I've ever sat through. Great story. Intriguing characters. Not-half-bad action. Just THE PACING!!!! D:
  Would recommend for veterans.

----------Ookami Kakushi

 - Think Higurashi but poorly done. Was interesting at the least, not as gory as I was hoping, and there was that weird pedophile-ish/rapey scene that really weirded me out until it was later explained but that didn't help much either. Ugh. Just go watch Higurashi.
 Would not really recommend.

----------Akira

 - Ermg, right in the feels. Futuristic powers out of control, sci fi elements, really well done. I loved it. No wonder it's a classic.
Would recommend, more for veterans, but everyone should give it a shot.

----------Angel Cop

 - Rather boring. Both voice casts were mediocre. Characters were pretty 2D. Action wasn't interesting. Lots of senseless blood and gore. Not enough to be entertaining.
  Would not recommend.

----------Future Diary

 - Was very "meh" throughout, but the ending was gold. Very messed up, but in all the right ways. Yuno is the best yandere I've ever seen.
 Would recommend.

----------Denpa Teki no Kanojo

 - Short but perfect. Loved both episodes very much for how very DEEP they were. I loved the characters so much!
  Would recommend!!!

----------Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

 - OMG! My favorite shoujo romance comedy ever. This one takes the cake! It was funny in all the right ways with very good taste in humor. The characters were SO 3D IT WAS TRIPPY! I loved all of them so much. The attention to each one of them was perfect! I loved the romance as well, and I'm very picky about my romance so that should say a lot.
  WOULD RECOMMEND SO HARDCORE!!!!

----------Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan

Best. Anime. Ever. Four episodes of absolute perfection.
WOULD RECOMMEND SO HARDCORE!

That's all for now. I'll talk about life or something next time.

Not Back To The Future

Just the future.

Really tired because LARP reasons. So first, a little blurb about LARP!!!!

I did not get to PC because money reasons, but I did get to NPC. My various roles included lost boys, thirteenth story ghasts, a dead eye, lots of zed, and a banshee.
A friggin banshee <3

Banshees are very strong. VERY STRONG. And they scream.
Loudly.
So I screamed at the top of my lungs, literally I compressed my body to force all the air out. Ever screamed like that? It is freaky as hell. Especially when you're sleeping soundly at 2am and then there's this hellish, piercing scream from just outside your door. And it wants to come in. And eat you.
Even indoors, people in the OTHER cabins could hear me loud and clear. So, it is VERY loud.
I went from behind the one cabin (called the Lodge) and walked to the second cabin (called Pinecrest). Screaming maybe two-three times as I walked. When I got to Pinecrest, they of course went to the door to see what it was. I stopped screaming, just kinda growled. So they let me in, thinking they could take me on.
Hehehe.
I stood in the hallway taking deep breaths, just staring at the small line of five-six of them. Everyone else in the cabin slowly wakes up like "what's going on??" Then I let loose my scream. Which is NOT fun up close. The line of people facing me all LITERALLY stumbled backwards as one unit. Total Fus Ro Dah moment. Then I whaled on them with my swords. They killed me, and my dead body faded away (aka, I left)
So then I respawned outside and went for the Lodge. Screaming all the way.
All the lights are off in the lodge save a very small lamp. I can see someone moving inside, probably alerted by, ya know, the screaming. So I stand in front of the door (there's a window in it to see in) and wait till the person inside approaches the door. I put my face an inch from the window and scream and scream and scream, and slam the door with my swords as hard as I can, making the whole thing bang VERY loud and shudder horribly. This brings more people to the door. They too open it to get me inside and take me down. I walk in. The place is very echo-y (concrete and wood, baby) so of course, I unleash my screams, and they are so beautifully amplified. The poor people coming to face me... they confess that they're ears hurt so bad after that. So I just screamed and screamed and whaled on them with my swords. They all ganged up on me and killed me. I left.
Meanwhile, some raiders had kidnapped a guy and were dragging him off to go eat him. Three people went off to rescue the victim as he got dragged down by the lake. The marshall made me respawn right behind the rescue party.
Cue my scream as I charge at them full speed. I have a LOT of lung space. I was screaming at top volume for a good fourteen seconds. And then I was attacking them, and got RIGHT UP in one guy's face and screamed. They all back up when I do so because ouch.
They knocked me down and I'm bleeding out. Some guy with a BIG sword asks "Do you consent to physical roleplay?" which is asking permission to touch (we are very respectful). I of course say yes.
So he gets behind me as I kneel on the ground and he puts his sword to my throat. I start gurgling all undead-disgusting like and he shouts "This is how we silence you forever!" and he calls out a killing blow while slitting my throat.
I couldn't have asked for a better ending to such a beautiful mod. I loved it so much *squee*

It has earned me the love of several storytellers xD They want me for all the screaming mods xD

I have more stories, but this one was long, so I'll leave it at that.

Random future stuff!

I am moving to my new residence on Tuesday (most likely).

I am also working on costume/weapons for my new DR character that I will be bringing out.
She wasn't supposed to be my new one. My new one was supposed to be a slave. But fate decided that no, I was going to play my super deranged, undead bride. Because here is the wedding dress that fits me perfectly so I bought it.

Not the best picture. Hehe. I intend to get better ones when we actually have zee camera. And it is daytime. This was just a quick one so I could show the photo to my friends.
The skirt, unfortunately, is a really long as fuu train, so I will have a different skirt. But the bodice is totally legit. And it will be covered in lots and lots of blood ^^

Admire while you can. We're gonna be painting it red soon.

Support "Write This Down"

My poor babu novel needs critiques!

You can read it on wattpad. As it is on private settings, you need to be my follower to read it. If it still won't show it to you (occasional site error) just let me know and I will send you a PM with the chapter links.

By critiques, I don't mean "ermg, college level nitpickery!" Unless you want to I guess. What I need is some help combing for spelling/grammar errors, pointing out info dumps, unclear passages, and general stuff like that. My friend raindrop has helped me a lot, but I need more sets of eyes on this thing so I can get all my bases covered.
I would like feedback relatively SOON. So if you can take a few hours out of your weekend to read and comment, that would be the best thing ever. Thank you.

Let's Talk Anime!

Got nothing better to do. *cracks knuckles*

I have seen a LOT of anime in the past week alone. Let's get started (I won't do ALL of them. Just the ones that stand out for reasons)

A TREE OF PALME
(movie)
The setting of the film can't possibly be summed up. At all. It is such a bizarre, unique world with so many strange and wonderful things. If anything, watch it for that.
The plot, as short as I can muster to make it, is about a living puppet that is journeying with four acquaintances to return a special egg to an underground cave where the underground people's god's child is supposed to rise and presumably wipe out their world.
It is an EXTREMELY depressing film that takes some very disturbing, dark turns, especially when Palme tries to be human. I mean, the story opens with Palme being so depressed he tries to kill himself. Except he can't. Cause he isn't real.
But despite that, this was a very brilliant movie that somehow managed to deal with a wide number of deep themes despite being a movie. There was more to each and every character than what met the eye, and even though it made me feel, well, depressed, it is somehow a favorite of mine. In a weird way.

CHILDREN WHO CHASE LOST VOICES
(movie)
This was made by a guy dubbed as "Miyazaki's successor" and you can SEE WHY!
This feels like a Miyazaki film. No, not like "oh, he is copying Miyazaki". But the same incredible creativity, character depth, and overall quality just screams something that Miyazaki would probably approve.
The story is about a girl who hears a strange song come over her homemade radio. She returns to the same spot to try and hear the song again, and meets a boy named Shin. After that, she gets chased by people with guns, is taken hostage, and then goes off into a whole other world that desperately wants her gone by any means possible.
It's a story about overcoming the loss of loved ones. The main characters all lost someone very important to them, but how they deal with it is expressed individually. Yes, I cried like a baby. But it was well worth it.

CHIRIN NO SUZU
(movie)
I had to put this here, ermg.
So, it starts off like Japan's version of Bambi. Chirin is a little lamb who has bunny friends and his mom loves him. She gets killed by a wolf.
But this time, Bambi got ballsy.
Chirin runs off to the mountains to fight the wolf. But he's a little lamby-wammy. So he becomes the wolf's apprentice to get stronger and "become a wolf". He trains for years and grows horns and lots of strength. But his years fighting and killing have turned him into a ruthless killer. The wolf tells him to go kill all the sheep in his old home. He kills the guard dogs, but when he goes for the sheep, a little lamb calls for his mother, and Chirin is reminded of his childhood. He can't kill them. So the wolf attacks. They fight and Chirin kills the wolf. But Chirin realizes that he is a monster, neither wolf nor sheep. He can never be accepted for he is too twisted and demonic. So he runs back to the mountains and fades into legend.
Well, thanks Japan. Thanks for that...

PRISON SCHOOL
(show)
Hehehehe
he
Watch censored plz >.> mah poor eyeballs. When they send the massive light glares that wipe out seven eighths of your screen, it really is necessary.
(taken from wiki)
Hachimitsu Academy, one of the strictest girls academies in Tokyo, has decided to admit boys into their system. Kiyoshi Fujino is one of these new boys, but he discovers to his shock that he and his four friends—Takehito "Gakuto" Morokuzu, Shingo Wakamoto, Jouji "Joe" Nezu, and Reiji "Andre" Andou—are the only male students among 1,000 girls. Even worse are the draconian laws that are still in place, which punishes even the most minor infractions with a stay in the school's prison. A series of perverted accidents causes the five boys to be "arrested" and receive an ultimatum: either stay a month in the school's Prison Block or be expelled.
Of course, there are lots of "sex-y" shenanigans that ensue throughout. LOTS.
But the HUMOR! Ohmygawd, I couldn't stop watching this show once I started. The humor is solid gold. I recommend it for the humor ^^
Oh and... and....
Captain Levi is our sexy mc Kiyoshi with purple-haired-kuroko-no-basuke-guy as blondie Shingo.
Not. Kidding.

RIDEBACK
(show)
A former ballerina joins a Rideback (robot motorcycle) club. She bonds strongly with the Rideback Fuego. But entering races and doing fancy spins aren't all that Ridebacks are good for.
They can also be used by terrorist organizations to gun down malls and rise up against the current world superpower that is corrupt and tortures innocent teenagers to cover up their murders.
Don't let the first episodes fool you. This anime quickly spirals down somewhere dark and dangerous.
Give it a watch. It was very well done. The plot was great. The characters fun. I had a lot of fun with this one.

TATAMI GALAXY
(show)
A super convoluted show about a college guy dissatisfied with his college life. So ensues a series of parallel universes where he traverses many multiple possibilities of what college could be like. There are lots of downs, but in the end, he realizes there were a lot of ups too. Every character has a million faces.
It's a hard show to watch, but the ending is, strangely, worth it.
The animation is also incredible on so many levels. While the art style is unusual, it is beautiful. Watch it for that, if anything.

GAKKOU GURASHI!
(show)
Still in the middle of this one. My current binge show.
A group of moe who have a club called School-Live! They get into all kinds of adorable shenanigans.
You should watch it.
*hint hint*
like right now, seriously, will not regret
Pay attention to the subtle hints in the first episode. Leads to best plot twist ever. I died of squee-dom when they revealed it ^^

That's all for now. :3

Dread Eldritch Armory

Just my various crafting bits and baubles ^^

First up (of which I posted several before) concept sketches for future weapons.
[yes, I name them. No judging]

The New Yorker Scrap Sword is being commissioned for a LARP friend.

My very first plasti-dip: the Repo Man scalpel!!!!!
Modified of course. I couldn't make the saw as tiny as in the movie, and the notches made the scalpel blade weak D:
But this is Romulus' weapon. The orange band is not a part of the weapon xD It's the weapon tag for after being passed through the LARP logistics as a safe and combat ready weapon.

Bone and Gore Sword
A meelee large for Dystopia Rising. I'm leaning more towards selling it than keeping it.
$100 or best offer is what it will be going for when I do get around to parting with it.

New Yorker Scrapmetal Sword!
Pre-plasti dip/painted. Aint it purdy?

And now for some Romulus details!

The medical pouch!

Turned out to be too long (left), so it was shortened later. (right) A picture of the syringe holder inside the pouch. Fits three small and three medium syringes.

Cut in half and resewn. Literally. Going to fix the flap though. It's very uneven.

Inside Romulus' pouch, we have four pill bottles (to be genrefied soon. I just got the three green ones!). Then there are the syringes. A tourniquet (a belt). And finally, Rommie's medical book.

Front and back. R for Romulus.

I am not finished filling in all the pages, but all pages have been properly distressed with coffee staining and mixing highly diluted brown acrylics. Finally, the pages were cooked over the stove and the edges were singed.
The pages have real live paramedic and EMT procedures in them from my own procedures manual from EMT school. Some procedures come with drawings.

Romulus' second pouch for her personals.

Inside, we have a bottle (also needs genre-fying) which I usually put little snacks in like granola or small bief jerky pieces. Then there is Romulus' book, The Illiad, which she reads for fun when not studying amputations. Finally, she usually has a little something else to eat wrapped up in a paper bag. Like that random chocolate ball she got from Palo and then forgot about for the past 15 days x_x *throws in trash*

Sadly, the detail is not shown in the lighting, but the book's pages are very thin and yellow. I got it at a thrift store about two years ago, and thought "Hey! I should use this for a LARP character or something!" And it finally came in handy ^^

That's all for now. I will have pictures of the finished New Yorker Scrapmetal Sword up later.

Don't F**K With ROMULUS!!!!!

My Dystopia Rising character!
I was squinting and making weird faces because the cold wind and snow were eating my face off. But the whole point was really to show off the costume anyway. An actual photo shoot with poses and mebbe some blood (xD) will be taking place this week. So coolness will happen!

(ermg, the blurr >.>)

Regular costume for spring, summer, fall is just the shirts, armor, and this hooded half cape. There are also black combat boots (not wearing because snow)

The armor back!

No capes!

Winter gear! Brown leather trench coat. A fingerless glove on the left hand and a leather one on the right with buckles ^^ I am missing the left leather with buckles glove ;-; In winter I DO wear the snow boots as part of the costume because I do not want frost bitten toes.

I wear the armor over the coat so that I can access my bags and you can see the armor.

Meanwhile, this is Romulus. She is a Sawbones (combat medic). She was found at age 7-8 being raised by wild dogs. A hermit took her in. Raised her. Taught her to read and write and things. But now she is off on her own, fighting Zed and trying to find a place where she belongs.

She is actually very proud of her roots and does not really consider herself human. So calling her a dog or references to dogs, she actually likes. Not that she can't detect malice, but if you call her dog or puppy as a nickname of sorts, she's totally fine with it.
And yes, she loves that sign. That sign is her life xD

There will be a photo shoot in the very near future and possibly costume detail photos. As time goes by, the costume will evolve, requiring more photos of course. But for now, this is Romulus.
